Perto do aeroporto
Voltaria .
Not up to Marriott standards in many aspects
Very handy for the airport, if you had hand luggage you could easily walk. Easy to find also, right off the motorway Like a lot of hotels at the moment, they are using COVID to justify a significant drop in standards. Customer service and customer appreciation here was probably no different to the budget hotels a short walk away. Yes room was up to Marriott standards, well kitted out etc, but missing a proper coffee machine. Sachets of basic Nescafe wont do these days. Fridge was more of a slight chiller than an actual fridge. No ice machines. Biggest problem was lack of staff which resulted in long wait times for food both at breakfast and evening meal. If you cannot get sufficient staff, then you shouldn't be taking bookings. I'm an essential worker, and was only travelling out of government endorsed necessity, so I wonder why a squad of builders were staying there, being loud, obnoxious and found it funny to harass the waitress in the mornings. Having said that, the waitress's particularly Sandra were working incredibly hard. Car park had fees applied, again totally unjustified. Nothing is calling me back here to stay again, as not significantly better than competition. No offer of housekeeping or explanation as to what the current housekeeping policy was, never saw anyone cleaning public areas.
Very convenient for overnight connect
You literally walk through a services car park to arrive at this hotel. Comfortable, nice decor, great rooms, and a good night’s rest but horror or horrors, I was checked into a room not yet cleaned with towels on the floor and half used toiletries. Then I was moved to a room where someone had clearly dried their hands on one of the towels. Overall pretty good though. This is an airport based hotel so not much to do around there.
Has potential to improve
Stayed here for two nights in an executive room at the end of a tour round Scotland on the North Coast 500. Start with the good points - Easy to check in although they didn’t have a record of loyalty programme which had complimentary breakfast which took a minute to tie in. Spacious room with large flatscreen tv, comfy big bed with extra pillows. Good powerful shower. Nice touches such as water & snacks with an empty mini bar to keep things cold. Complimentary hot drinks vouchers for the Starbucks. Cooked breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bad points - Quality of toiletries were very low end, I’ve had a lot better at budget hotels. TV had a whole bunch of basic channels missing including BBC2. Room wasn’t cleaned on second day or explanation given ie if this is a new Covid related policy which is understandable. Miss matched tumblers in the room. Minor things, overall a good stay although I still think the £10 a day fee for parking is a bit much considering it’s free at the Premier Inn which is closer to the terminal building.
