Em Creta existem três cidades maiores: Heraclio, Chania e Retymnio. Uma das vantagens de Retymnio é que possui uma localização mais central, o que ajuda na exploração da ilha. A cidade possui uma praia com vários hotéis à beira-mar e a cidade histórica. A parte antiga da cidade é fechada parar carro, maior parte do tempo. A Casa Moazzo fica dentro da parte antiga. Isso significa que não tem acesso a carro e vc terá que carregar sua mala. Mas acho que isso não é nada comparado a maravilha de ficar na parte antiga. A região tem muitos restaurantes e lojinhas. Uma delicia poder andar pela região de dia ou à noite. O hotel é pequeno e super aconchegante. Uma joia no meio de um lugar maravilhoso. O café da manhã é divino com várias opções de cereais, iogurte, pães e docinhos cretanos. Tem opção de ovo de várias maneiras, só pedir. Se vc precisar fazer um passeio mais cedo elas preparam um café da manhã especial e deixam no seu quarto. O quarto que ficamos era maravilhoso. O banheiro tem opção de banheira ou chuveiro. O atendimento é dedicação das proprietárias é impecável. Elas fazem de tudo para que sua estadia seja inesquecível. Se preocupam com pequenos detalhes e te dão dicas de restaurantes (todos divinos). Recomendo muito.

É um hotel bem fofo, tem um grande problema, suas bagagens precisam ser carregadas por duas quadras, pois os carros não tem acesso até a porta do hotel. O hotel é pequeno e bem familiar, neste caso digo, e uma família que trabalho no hotel, o quarto é muito bom, não tinha chuveiro no meu quarto, só banheira. O hotel fica a 1 hora do porto de Hieraklio, fica próximo ao sul da ilha de creta onde tem praias ótimas , como Plakias e Damnoni. Próximo ao hotel, existe todo o comércio local, bons restaurantes e o centro antigo

Wonderful stay in the old town

We had the most glorious time staying at Casa Moazzo. It is a beautiful apartment hotel with lovely sun filled courtyards where guests enjoy a very generous buffet breakfast. It is right in the heart of the old town which has so much to see and do. Our room was large and spacious and beautifully furnished, and kept immaculately clean. We particularly liked the lovely Korres toiletries! Best of all though, we had the warmest welcome from Anna, Eva and Angelica and the whole team who can’t do enough for their guests. The hotel is filled with their warmth and hospitality from morning to night, and they really made our holiday extra special. Thanks again from Edinburgh!

This hotel was the highlight of our visit to Crete! It’s super clean, beautifully furnished, and has wonderful staff. Our room was very spacious with a big bathroom, very comfortable bed, and lovely soft lighting and furnishings that made it a pleasure to hang out in, especially when the weather turned inclement. It also has a small kitchenette with tea and coffee supplies and a small fridge. The hotel has a couple of picturesque courtyards to sit outside and offers a lovely buffet breakfast. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the charming old town and waterfront of Rethymno. The owner Anna was delightful and her staff of Eva, Angelica, and the rest of her team couldn’t have been more helpful. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel!!!

We have stayed at Casa Moazzo almost every year since it opened (except covid period). Why do we return? Firstly because of the staff. They make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive and can't do enough to ensure you enjoy your stay. Secondly, the building itself. Certainly it is historical. One minute you feel you are living in a palace and the next a castle because of the amazingly thick walls. Every room is different and each has its own unique character. All are furnished with immaculate taste and enjoy excellent facilities. The third reason we love this hotel is its situation. It is in a narrow, pedestrianised street in the heart of the old town giving it great atmosphere. A couple of minutes and you enter the main restaurant/shopping area whilst in five minutes you can be on the sea front. We have found shop and restaurant staff in Rethymnon to be friendly and welcoming. We know that we shall enjoy a pampered and relaxed holiday at Casa Moazzo from the moment we make our booking.
