Good location but old and worn out

We expected a lot more from this hotel based on the pictures. I wouldn't consider it a 4 star hotel.. Rooms are old and worn out. Bathroom is small. Breakfast was very basic. Other guests were partying every night and the rooms are not soundproof. No locked space for luggage. The pool was nice though and the hotel has a great location.

Read old reviews on this hotel after booking which worried me but certainly didn't regret a 3 night stay in the Hotel Riviera Rhodes. Nice spacious clean rooms. Good breakfast English and continental buffet. Bacon and omelettes were excellent. Small pool but worth a dip and beach is across the road. Excellent barman called Michael. Good cocktails at decent prices and nothing watered down unlike some bars in the centre. Olive restaurant behind Hotel was lovely. Greek food with a chap singing and playing guitar. Mixed Nationals, British Germans Scandinavian and Greeks. Reception staff very helpful and a lovely little gift bag when you depart. Would definitely return.

Perfect Solo Trip

The hotel, staff and location were genuinely second to none. I am almost 50 years of age and have done many solo trips in my time - This hotel rates in my top 5 and I have stayed in multiple 1* to 5* properties over the years. It’s not the most modern of hotels, but the ambiance, effort and general feeling of being a valued guest, far outweigh the slightly dated decor. I wouldn’t ever look elsewhere if I were returning to Rhodes. An absolute diamond of a property. Thank you for the outstanding service.

The clue was charging a deposit for the tv remote and a dodgy geezer wearing budgie smugglers by the tiny pool. The dust blowing in from the main road that adjoins the hotel . The surly reception with a couldn’t give a sh… attitude

Very bad cleaning, bad breakfasts

Stayed in 2021. I'll start with the good: the hotel has a great location and a great view. This is where the benefits end. When we stayed in the room, we noticed that the cleaning was terrible. Many surfaces have not been cleaned. We had to buy a cleaning product at the nearest store and wash the room ourselves again. All the following days, cleaning was also very poor. The floor was dirty, and the toilet was never washed at all. We have rested in Rhodes for many years in a row in different hotels, but we have not seen such unsanitary conditions anywhere else. It's just awful. Breakfasts are monotonous, very poor, after a week they start to feel sick. I have not seen worse breakfasts in any hotel in the last 15 years. The staff is unfriendly, never the first to say hello. This hotel is the worst I've seen in Greece. Will never stay here again. Officially, this is a 4-star hotel, but actually not more than 2. Even in 2-star hotels, cleaning and breakfasts are usually better. In the room, the refrigerator stands almost in the middle of the room, with the back wall turned to the center of the room. The electrical outlet from the wall is ripped out (it looks like someone tried to put the refrigerator as it should be). I do not advise you to go here, the rest will be ruined.
