Unfortunately staff can ruin a nice experience

We had lunch here, the garden tables were well placed and there was plenty of shade. The menu looked good and the food itself was well prepared, however the staff member who served us was really, really rude and that put a dampener on things. Beautiful town to visit, but such a pity that someone working in tourism would make tourists feel so unwelcome :(

We stayed in the stables which had plenty of room for our family of 4. The food, atmosphere and friendly service were excellent. We didn't see much of the town as we were just passing through but it had a good feel. The bakery near by made a nice coffee.

Our delight about the food and the wine menu

We are locals that have become addicted to the fabulous menu and wines. As a special treat we treat our selves to the wonderful delights on offer at the Arms. We are steadily working our way through the menu and cannot fins fault with a single blessed thing, the menu and daily specials offer a choice that is hard to decide. As for the wine menu, we simply have to share a bottle between us each and every time we dine, wonderful liquid refreshments to wash down splendidly prepared meals. The staff also are super friendly and wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. If you want a delightful and well cooked steak, cooked to your ideal of rare, medium or well done the chef wont disappoint. My wife and I always look forward to our next visit, the dining experience is too good to risk going anywhere else. Keep it up guys - fabulous ! *****

It has the charm of an old English pub but that's where its starts and ends. How can you go wrong with chicken schnitzel? Well they did - They just didn't cook it enough We simply left our dishes and walked out

Stayed here for 4 nights as it was a lovely town and good spot for day trips. Rooms were lovely. My only criticism was there was no microwave in room which would’ve been handy on the cold nights. Pub was good, excellent staff and decent pub meals. Great atmosphere.
