The chair in the room look like it should have been discarded at least five years ago. The smoke alarm in my room went off four times during the night. At 5:00 AM, the manager move me to another room. The new room key that she gave me did not work. There was no remote in the room for the TV, I asked at the front desk for a remote, they said one would be brought to me. I waited over an hour and no remote was obtained. Terrible experience

Horrible one-night stay while at Mayo/Rochester

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on Monday night, October 24. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in 30 years. The room (222) reeked of cat urine to the point that we had to leave the window open during the night to lessen the odor. The toilet paper holder was broken so the roll of toilet paper sat on the edge of the bath tub. The Kleenex dispenser had been removed from the bathroom wall and was resting, along with its screws, on the towel rack. The desk chair had lost much of its vinyl surface and should have been tossed years ago. When we went to the complimentary breakfast at 7:30, the juice dispenser was not working or was empty, there were no cereals or hot entrees, there were only two non-descript cellophane wrapped items in the display case, and half the chairs were stacked on the tables as if the place was closed. I told the desk clerk all this, but I would bet that these issues were not new. Disgusting. On the good side, the beds were comfortable, the tv was new and the internet service worked.

Attempts of strangers trying to enter my room in the middle of the night. Being followed to my car and room by an intoxicated guest on the property. Having to step over passed-out intoxicated guests in the hallways. Having demeaning things yelled at me.

Jacked up hidden fees and frozen puk for complimentary breakfast

On arrival, I was promptly overcharged $50 for having a dog with me. Rate is $20 per dog, I know that because I stayed in other Days Inn hotels before. To any objection and argument I had having booked in advance - the receptionist had only one answer: "under new management" and $50 fee because "dogs are known to make messes and our staff has to spend extra time cleaning". Then she scrutinized my credit card like I was a criminal, card was on file already as with Wyndham rewards I book online. Room had lunch room furniture in it (bistro table and two chairs) plus this giant kitchen cabinet with tacky foil wrapped burners in it - message is bring your own food because when you go for "complimentary breakfast" there is nothing there, they hide all the food and a lunch lady in the back room that guards the food hands out premade gas station style breakfast sandwich; big printed signs on the counter "one per person" and mine was still frozen in the middle. They treat customers like we are there to steal their food. What a disgrace! This is the most low experience I had with Days Inn, I was under impression all Days Inn are as good as one in Eagan, MN (which is very nice). I am filing complaint with Whyndham and Days Inn customer service.

No breakfast and no staff

My wife got up after a horrible nights sleep on a terrible bed and went down for breakfast. There was no breakfast. Went to complain to staff and there was no staff to complain to. No staff available at checkout. Had originally booked 2 nights but moved to a different hotel
