Good location and quiet room but customer service left a lot to be desired.

We stayed here for a week in February while we helped an elderly relative move to a senior living community. The hotel has great potential ….the location was great for us. Our room on the 6th floor was comfortable and quiet. But service left a lot to be desired. Upon checkin I requested housekeeping every other day. On day 3 our requested service didn’t happen ….we had to ask for toilet paper when we got back in the evening. They finally serviced the room on day 4 but that was it ….no more housekeeping. The front desk never seemed manned …. Just a “I’m somewhere else “ sign at the front desk. The business center computers never worked and front desk staff were no help. With better service I could have given a better review.

This is a very nice hotel, New and extremely well maintained. Staff is very nice and breakfast was typical for a Hampton Inn (good waffles, meh selection of cereals, coffee was OK). This Hampton Inn had a bar which we were looking forward too, but there was no bartender on duty so the bar was closed. That was a negative.

Nice, Quiet and Clean

We stayed at the Hampton Inn for a weekend and found it to be a very comfortable hotel. The staff were quite friendly and ready to help when asked. We had a corner king with a sofa bed and found the room to be quite large and bright. The beds were both comfortable. The bathroom was well lit but there was zero ventilation. In order not to become a steambath when ou shower, you have to leave both doors open to allow air flow. The AC unit ran constantly because it was very warm outside and the unit might not have been quite big enough for the space. I travel with earplugs so that wasn't a problem. The room was also quiet but that might be because we overlooked absolutely nothing but a retaining wall and the roof from the floor below us. No big deal, we weren't there for the scenery and quiet is always good. The breakfast was your standard fare but it was filling and tasty which, again, is what you want. The location was ideal for where we wanted to go once we were in Rochester and there are a few good restaurants within a short drive of the hotel. I am rating the property a four out of five within the type of property it is. All-in-all, we would stay there again assuming the rate wasn't too high.

Hampton Inn Penfield NY. I would like to acknowledge the exceptional service of "Jackie" front desk manager (and it appears numerous other duties!). She was enormously helpful, professional, courteous, and provided exemplary dedication in solving my problem. I left a very expessive and critical medical device in my room when I checked out, discovering the error only after I was home (3000 miles away). Although she was extremely busy, she found time to personally retrieve the device, inform me by telephone, and helped coordinate secure return to a family member whose was able to ship it to me. I am very grateful. THANK YOU JACKIE!

Great Staff. Very clean, sanitizer and wipes easily available. The breakfast was very good. The room was wonderful I only wish there were better drawers and closets in the room. Overall, I would say this is one of the best Hampton Inn's I have stayed at. Big plus was the bar called the Nook where you could get a drink and have there or in your room.
