It was the best place to stay in Rome or for that matter in the world, it was perfectly located, reminded me the gone times and I thought I was in a movie scene. The host was kind, warm, generous intelligent and extremely helpful. If you ever go to Rome and don't stay in Pousada you will be missing out.
Wonderful Stay in Rome at Roberta's

Roberta offered a very warm welcome. The room was lovely, full of light, spacious and clean. I loved it! It was easy to access the building as it is very central. Even with my heavy luggage, you can use the lift to get to the B&B. The place offers a lovely well equipped kitchen and amazing rooftop that will show you beautiful sunsets of Rome. I would not stay anywhere else but at Roberta's in Rome.

This pensione is a good affordable choice, convenient to public transportation, quiet, and comfortable. This converted apartment was originally purchased by the owner’s (Roberta) grandparents and she has made an effort to keep it as it was when she was growing up (with updates, of course), hence the antique furniture and homey touches. The property is about 1 km from where we exited the train station. Since we just missed a tram that would have cut the distance a bit, we ended up walking all the way, not difficult though the sidewalk surface was very rough in places. Since we had a Roma pass that includes public transportation, we made many trips on the #5 tram from Porto Maggiore, the tram hub and close by. This connects with the Manzoni Metro station which is on the line that goes to many locations—Vatican, Spanish Steps, etc.—and to Termini for the other metro line, trains, etc. Without the Roma pass we could have easily walked to most locations since central Rome is very compact.
We booked the room with twin beds which included comfortable beds, a TV, a quiet air conditioner, and a well-equipped en-suite bathroom. Though the train tracks are right behind the building, there was no noticeable noise from trains—they don’t blow their whistles while approaching the station and we mostly heard a very slight rumbling sound as they approached. With windows open the noise is more noticeable so the air conditioning would be particularly appreciated in the summer! Though our room did not have a refrigerator, it was possible to keep something in the kitchen refrigerator with permission. There is a rooftop terrace which we did not use since the weather was not that warm most of the time we were there. Wi-fi worked great in our room.
Breakfast is from 7:30 – 9:30 am, but we were able to arrange an earlier time one morning. Check-in time is 4 – 7 pm, but it is possible to check in at other times for a fee of €10. Roberta, the owner, is very dedicated to doing everything possible to make your stay an enjoyable one. She speaks great English and is very responsive to e-mail inquiries.
I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable little bit of home away from home.

We’ve just returned from 5 nights at Pousada Romana and would highly recommend it! We wanted to stay close to the main train station as we were travelling to Florence and Pisa during our stay. Come out of the train station, turn left and keep going. The hotel is the yellow building about 20 minutes walk along that road. The room was lovely, clean and homely. The air conditioning was most welcome in the 25 degree heat! Mario met us on arrival and prepared our breakfast each morning. He speaks very little English though. We finally met the famous Roberta on our penultimate day - and she was as lovely as everyone has said she is! She even bought me a rose and pastries for my birthday.
The roof top terrace was a bonus! So lovely to sit up there with a bottle of wine and admire the view. We will definitely return one day.
