Great B&B in terrific location

We stayed here thanks to a recommendation from On Foot Holidays (a great organization). Our room was large and quiet even though it faced onto the street. But this is a narrow street without all that much traffic. The owner Roberta and her staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included numerous choices. The location was terrific, walking distance to most of Rome’s sights.

Great Location

This B&B is located walking distance from many major attractions (including Castle Sant' Angelo, Trevi Fountain, the Vatican). The owner (Roberta) came by on our first day to say hello and was very hospitable. Larance and Dariel were great in helping us settle in, providing recommendations, etc. We appreciated that it was located on a very quaint street and gave us a non-touristy feel. The room itself was very spacious and breakfast was provided. Highly recommend this B&B!

This B & B was perfect for our stay in Rome. Very well located, clean and very friendly staff. The B & B was comfortably within walking distance to all of Rome's major attractions, in a great are with nice restaurants etc nearby. Would definitely stay next time in Rome.

I cannot begin to express how kind and helpful the staff was at the B&B All Orologio!! Roberta, the owner, responded to many emails (in English) for months preceding our arrival. She was kind, offered a great deal of information and suggestions for our large family while being very personable and thoughtful of our needs. The rooms were on three different floors as we had at least three people in each room and they each held their own charm. They were spacious with updated furnishings and bathrooms. I was highly appreciative of the fact that she took into account a severe hip problem with which I have been struggling, and gave us a memory foam topper for our bed, very thoughtful! Be aware that there is no elevator and there are only two rooms on each floor. Remembering also that in Europe, the first floor is one flight up from ground level. Her head-of-staff and breakfast chef, Lawrence, was equally as kind as he arrived early on the mornings of our tours so that we did not have to go without breakfast! The breakfasts were filled with juices, meats, sausages, cheeses and fresh baked goods, some wonderfully unique. Along with finding the perfect setup of rooms for ten people, she gave us the connection for two half day tours to both the Vatican and the Colosseum. Our tour operator, Camilla, was also very outgoing and communicative. She helped us to plan both tours and for a very comparable price to larger companies, we received private three hour tours in which the guides gave us a wealth of information about the sites. Susanna, our Vatican and Sistine Chapel guide (the St. Peter’s Basilica suddenly closed at noon – common), was very knowledgeable in art and art history. Camilla herself took us through the Colosseum, over to Palatine Hill and the Forum. She gave us a great deal of historical information with real world connections to these ancient wonders! After each tour we had treated Susanna to lunch and Camilla to dinner as their knowledge of the language and the foods helped to make both dining experiences much more authentic, as we stepped out of our boundaries to try the foods per their suggestions. It was also fun hearing yet more information about the many questions we still had! It is amazing that either woman could find time to eat! We would not have found these guides, had it not been for Roberta! The entire family (ages 15-75) was thrilled with our Rome stopover and we will definitely return to the B&B Orologio on our next trip!
