Great find

Five minutes walk to the station and settled right on the sea front. I was only staying for the Monaco Yacht Show so didnt see much of the hotel but the room was comfortable and clean, albeit fairly basic. Certainly less hassle than staying in Nice and a lot cheap than Monaco!

Beautiful location, a few inconveniences

Avaliou em 15 de setembro de 2019

We stayed at the hotel for one night, in a 3 person studio room, before our train to Paris. The location was absolutely stunning right on the seafront and when we were taken to our room it looked brilliant. However, upon using the room for merely 20 minutes we discovered a broken bathroom lock deemed “unusable” even by the staff who admitted it had been broken for as long as she could remember and the blocked shower drain, which caused flooding in the bathroom, this was swiftly fixed and we didn’t have the same issue again. The kitchen was very poorly equipped and I found myself stirring a pot with a dessert spoon due to a lack of utensils. There were 2 stoves provided, however, it was impossible to use both at the simultaneously simply because the pot and pan provided did not fit on at the same time. The kitchen work top was very poorly designed meaning I had to bend over to stir the pot so I didn’t get a bruised head (I’m not very tall), and the lack of extractor fan paired with a possible burnt out element led to an almost unbearable toxic smell when the cooking started. The fridge is much more of a freezer than a fridge, completely froze water bottles overnight despite being in the fridge racks. The lights also seemed to flicker from time to time and some bulbs failed to work at all. Despite these issues, we all had a lovely nights sleep on the comfy beds and there was very little disturbance even in the early evening.

Clean and safe place to stay over night. Short distance to a train to travel to Monaco. Reasonable breakfast (8 €) and dinner (for yur choice; we took couscous 29 € and kepab 26€). Nice personnal. About 50 meters from the beach..

Great location to stay if visiting Monaco

Avaliou em 12 de abril de 2019

After researching online, I found this hotel which is only 2 stops on the Trainline after Monaco.. staying in Monaco is super expensive, but staying at this hotel which was only 10 minutes away, was ideal.. this hotel is along the beach front! Highly recommend checking what time the sunrise is and getting up early enough to see the sunrise as it is very beautiful! The hotel is only 5 minutes walk away from the train station.. 10 minutes walk away from the main high street.. but the beach is beautiful in the daytime and the evening.. The hotel also has a bus stop outside where you can get a local bus into Monaco.. lots of people who work in Monaco stay on the outskirts in carnoles as it is too expensive to live in Monaco. The hotel has an ensure restaurant / cafe.. A group of us (5 ladies) stayed in 2 hotel rooms which were triplet rooms.. one of the rooms had just been renovated and the hotel told us they were planning to make it into a studio with a kitchenette.. so this hotel room was lovely.. the walk in shower wet room was big and beautiful.. the room was big with a double bed and also 2 single beds.. however the other hotel room we had wasn’t as nice in comparison, which did need some renovations as even the chest of drawers in the room was falling apart.. the bathroom was dark, the room itself was dark and felt like a basement room due to lack of natural lighting.. the windows were blocked by plants and bushes outside which blocked the sunlight.. we did ask if we could change this room as there were quite a few ants and spiders in the room, but the staff were friendly and helpful, and did say that they were fully booked so we couldn’t exchange rooms to another one.. overall, the hotel location is excellent, and the staff were friendly.. we enjoyed our overnight stay at this hotel.
