I am on the road most of the year and have to stay all over California- some of the flea traps I stay in aren’t fit for your pet. The stanky kind of place you have to wear your shoes on the carpet so you don’t step in previous guests old semen or pubes stuck to the floor. This place wasn’t one of those.... I could walk barefoot in the room and not worry about stepping on any old jizzy !!! Nice and clean !!
Bad customer service
Arrived girl took a few minutes to get to the front desk she was too busy watching a movie, asked if I could reedem my best western vouchers for a discounted room she said they don't accept best western vouchers at that location she lied to me because she didn't know how to do it or didn't want to because the movie was more important, and hotel was empty and didn't offer a up graded room like every other best western I have ever stayed at and the place is out dated probably won't be back any time soon
Nice Place to Stay
Stayed here with the wife on a recent trip to Salinas. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast needs a little more attention to detail. Yogurt and butter were a little hard to locate. Please teach the staff how to make oatmeal. My wife was horribly disappointed in the oatmeal, it was totally under cooked.
Nice property when we pulled up but it ended there. We were one of the only occupants on the night we stayed there and should have been upgraded to the next available level of room. This was not offered and when asked about the upgrade was told that i did not qualify and that the only upgrade was for the Executive Suite if the King Suite was reserved. This is wrong and the manager refused to discuss and let his desk attendant deal with an unhappy customer. Chicken!
Best Western Plus, Salinas. CA
I have not checked in yet, having arrived at 5:40 PM. There was no one at the desk and then a person slouched on a sofa, on a cell phone, across the lobby says, “I’m on a break and it’ll be 10 to 15 minutes.” I have not seen the room yet but so far the service is not impressive.
