Fantastic Boutique Hotel

Avaliou em 24 de novembro de 2022

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for our family during our visit to Tikal... We're non Spanish speakers (English is our first language). From get go upon our arrival at the hotel, all staff were fantastic. The front desk manager, Hugo, was brilliant. He spoke excellent English and just couldn't do enough for us. The entire hotel setting is like an eco resort and each room is structured like a villa. To matters more challenging, we're all vegetarians.... But this was no issue for the hotel staff and the restaurant. They made brilliant vege meals for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Overall, this was one of our best stays in Guatemala and would recommend Bolontiku Hotel very highly...

Best stay in Guatemala!

Avaliou em 10 de novembro de 2022

Of the four hotels we stayed at in Guatemala, this was hands-down the best. The service here is impeccable. Rebecca and Jonathan and the rest of the staff made everything so easy. Whatever we needed, they were there to help with a smile. Besides that the grounds are stunning and the property has fantastic views of the lake. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and the lake and birding around the property. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable considering they basically have a captive audience. It’s very difficult to get to the hotel by road, but they provide a boat service for trips to Flores and to meet tours to Tikal. It’s so convenient and also just a beautiful ride. We have nothing negative whatsoever to say about our stay at this hotel!

Great place to stay with the family

Loved everything about this amazing place and hotel. Staff very kind. I would say service in restaurant is a little bit slow so order food with enough time. Food was very good also. Pool is closed at 8:30, I would leave the pool open until 10. Rooms are very spacious and clean.

Nice but isolated

The staff was very kind. The rooms were lovely. As a previous reviewer mentioned, you are charged for boat shuttles from the hotel into town and this is not obvious. The restaurant was expensive without many vegetarian options and the only option unless you go into town. Not sure I would recommend for a family.

Absolutely beautiful resort but very disappointing service!!!!

Avaliou em 6 de julho de 2022

We loved the resort it self, the room (lakeview king suite) was absolutely gorgeous. The food was very expensive and was not good at all. And the least favorite - the service. The young lady at the front desk was totally irresponsible. She totally ignored everything we asked of her. The hotel was not willing to accommodate our late check out even though it is mostly empty. Warning: you need a boat transfer to get to town. It takes 20 minutes and the free transfer is only twice a day. If you need to go on a tour that starts at different time, you need to pay $25.00 each way for a private transfer. It is not mentioned anywhere on the site. Also, the boats timings are not very exact. So, if the management gets to be a bit more interested in satisfying their guests, this resort will be the best!!!!
