This place is awful and unethical. First they charge my credit card more than the stay and no one can tell me why and the manager Krissie is just so happens to be out of the office every time I call. Book online it was $1668.05 at the end of the stay I noticed my card was charged 1721.92. Secondly, they refuse to follow Texas laws/codes. The manager Krissie yelled at my son because he requested to be reimbursed for the taxes according to the Texas code that states that any “person” who has the right to use or possess a lodging room for at least 30 consecutive days is exempt from state and local hotel occupancy taxes, provided there is no interruption in payment for the room during this period. Krissie the manager stated they don't have to follow the code like Hilton and other hotels. I reported them to the Texas Attorney General and the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association. FYI for everyone else: If you stay at a hotel 30 day or more let them know and they are require by law to reimburse you the taxes. The guest becomes automatically tax exempt on the 31st day of their stay—regardless of whether there was prior notice of the guest’s intent to stay for 30 days or more, as long as there has been no interruption in payment for the room and the payment for the room is from one source for the entire time period. If you are experiencing problems with Extended Stay not honoring Texas Code file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and Texas Hotel & Lodging Association. Extend Stay is not exempt from the Texas Code regardless of what they tell you. They also don't have the right to tell you they are giving you a discounted rate to stay longer when they are really using the tax reimbursement to offset cost without telling you. This is what Krissie told my son to be happy about.

False advertisement. The pictures on the website aren’t the pictures of this real place. There was no pool like it had advertised because it was green, which I see from other reviews it has been since June. Every hall smells like pee and smoke because animals are allowed and they pee and poop every where. Tried using the dishwasher and baby cockroaches scurried out. I was also told my room couldn’t be cleaned until I was there for two weeks, so imagine my surprise when I’m woken up to a man trying opening my door without permission and the latch stopping it because my room was “on the list to clean” even though I was told the day before I had to be there for two weeks to get a clean. No trash can in my room. No one ever answered the phone downstairs and the general manager sent me an email with her personal contact info on it after one of my reviews and when I called it, she never answered or replied to my emails. This place is disgusting and has fraudulent advertisement. Avoid at all costs. Better off sleeping in your car.

Specifically rented a room for the week here when my friend and her kids came to town because of the pool and breakfast. There was no breakfast on any of the 7 days we stayed and the pool was unusable and disgusting. Staff is rude. Can't get your room serviced unless you pay for it. Dogs barking 24 hours a day and kids running constantly. The people that live there constantly fill up the smoking area. There are cockroaches and it smells like urine

The price was right for a European Hostel. The hotel smelt like a combination of Weed and Cat pee. I am pretty sure there was a rehab facility booking the rooms, and in my bathroom I couldn't tell if it was blood or vomit painted over on the walls. I cant verify it but at one point I thought I saw a swamp creature in the swimming pool although it could have just been the trash floating on the green muck. I am a K9 handler so I travel with my working dogs and I was actually afraid for their safety. People had dogs with them that had no business in public let alone in a hotel! Will never stay there again and I am in San Antonio monthly.

Room had a bad smell, very outdated, cabinets need upkeep, restroom dirty. There was no trash can. Swimming pool was closed, Carpet very dirty. The elevator sign is very concerning!!! The only room thing good was the bed. And staff was very polite and friendly . Giving a two for the bed and the staff.
