Great Budget Choice

The rooms are a bit on the small size, but comfortable. The hotel has a fantastic location within walking distance of all the attractions. Plenty of blankets and hot water. Free, secure parking a few blocks away.
I would stay here again.
Beautiful hotel, perfect location

Perfect location just a couple minutes away from the historical center. Quiet and very clean room, beautiful furniture.
The nights can be cold and blankets are not always enough, breakfast was very basic and not served on time.
Book the owners suite

This is a nice botique hotel. The rooms and hotel have beautiful furnishings. It looks like it should be a hotel in paris. The staff were very helpful especially andres. The only things i think that need to be improved are the amount of toiletries given and better quantity of towels. I also think the bathrooms could be updated and the breakfast improved. The selection is minimal but maybe that is what breakfast consist of in ecuador. If you can book the owners suite. It is equivalent to a presidential suite in the states except for the bathroom.

Three independent senior travelers rented two rooms with windows (by request) opening to a plant-filled rooftop seating area. Basic, yes; our hot water worked only occasionally, his shower worked but soaked the bathroom floor. For some reason, though, we loved it! Can't beat the location 1 block east of main Plaza Marzo 31, tons of restaurants and shops and street activity. No noise that interrupted anyone's sleep; I'll bet no hotel in this town has NO noise, bring earplugs to Mexico. Coffee and maker in room, beds comfy, clean premises. Breakfast not as good as it looked but a great bkfst across street a few doors west at Maya Pakal: eggs Mexicana, beans, avocado, fried plantain, tortillas, whole grain bread, coffee for $55 pesos.

Hotel lobby and restaurant are beautiful and well located in center of historic area. However, there is no on-site parking. The concierge hopped in our car to show us parking four blocks away. Room had no heat, but, we did obtain a small space heater upon request. Restaurant was not in use, possibly due to unheated dining area.
