Great Hyatt for Events in the Area

I recently stayed here for 3 nights for an event at the Chase Center (AEW!). Upon check-in, I was greeted with a bag of snacks and beverages for being an Explorist member and put on a high floor room with a great city view. The room was a good size, big bathroom with newer shower. Only complaint about the bathroom was sometimes the shower door was hard to work with to get it to stay closed like some others have mentioned. It only happened one night so no big deal, but would definitely bring up if it was more than that. Housekeeping was very friendly and personable and did a good job cleaning the room daily and being flexible on time since I was also working out of the hotel room as well. The WiFi was good and stable, able to stream via Chromecast to the TV without any lag or buffering, didn't have issues with it dropping on devices. The staff was very helpful in answering any questions I had about the area or what to do etc. The breakfast was surprisingly great for a Hyatt Place, at least compared to the ones that I have stayed at in the past. So Kudos for that! I normally skip breakfast but I actually enjoyed this one I came daily! It was fresh and had good options. The hotel was in great proximity to the public transit in the area, a 15 minute walk to the Chase Center, literally 10 steps from Oracle Park, and you have a Safeway and Walgreens right down the block if you need anything. Easy to get around, plenty of bars and things to do on a weekend. I would definitely stay here again if I had an event up in San Fransisco!

Great service, great location

Thanks to the Hyatt in SF for their wonderful professional guest services, and it is a great location. Very clean too! We walked the Embarcadero, went to a Warriors Game, and walked to China Town and Coit Tower. Next time we go to San Francisco we'll be sure to stay here. I can't recommend it highligh enough.

FRONT DESK PERSON VAGISH IS AMAZING

The front desk person his name is Vagish he was so sweet and helpful. I made a mistake on my booking and he was just so understanding and helped my boyfriend and I out so well. The room was so clean bed was a king so it was big and comfy and we went to our event and came back at 130am and the other front desk guy let me make a cup of noodle in the microwave down there and it was just so nice. We felt so welcome. Thank you again Vagish 5 FRICKEN STARS OH ALSO BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING fresh seasoned potatoes, fresh cheesy scrambled eggs and yummy Turkey Canadian bacon. Thank you Hyatt place for making our one night amazing.

Rudest Staff EVER

We were not allowed to go to their restaurant when we were already told by the reception walk ins were accepted. We then just sat down on one of the chairs to make the next earliest reservation. The manager came and told us to get out of the lobby as we had “no Hyatt business” we kindly told him we were just trying to make a reservation for the restaurant. He was persistent and rude and told us to exit the restaurant and go make the reservation on the road. It was freezing cold and I was in a dress but he had no manners to allow me to stand there for a minute while I made my reservations even though we had called earlier to ask if walk ins were accepted. He was rude and egoistic. Never staying at this place again. I have been traveling and dining for over 10 years and never have I seen arrogance and rudeness in hotel staff that should actually be helping you. He kicked me and my friend out in the cold.

Quick trip to SFO for Valentines

My wife and I enjoy good cuisine and what better way to celebrate valentines than in SFO. Looked at multiple locations for this trip in which I included my 2 kids. The hotel area is very nice. No homeless in this area unlike the properties in 3rd street and Union Square. They offered the most amazing breakfast from 7-10am. Close to transit points heading to Union Square and or Ferry Building/Pier 39. Staff was incredible. 9th floor room was very clean with an amazing view of the city. Will definintely come back to this location.
