Worst Management Ever, lovely staff, tons of problems.

Avaliou em 30 de março de 2021

Totally Disappointing. What could be an amazing place is ruined by problem after problem. The owner is nowhere to be found, and the management company is the worst on earth. The staff is very kind and works very hard, but their hands are tied, bc the owner and management refuse to fix all of the issues. The wifi is barely working in many of the rooms. There are issues wt ants and bugs in the rooms. Constant noise on the property, especially from the restaurant (there is a very loud machine on top of the kitchen making constant noise.) There were 6 lightbulbs out in the lamps around the apartment wt kitchen. In the kitchen there was nothing to cook with or hardly a glass or utensil. The property managers pretend to care about these issues and do nothing. I feel terrible for the kind staff constantly having to take these complaints. The hotel also badly needs to get AC units in rooms. when it goes up to 90 degrees in San Miguel, the rooms become unbearably hot.

It could have been a great experience

The location is superb, not too far from town center, quiet except the bell from a near by church; but it has to be regarded as part of the charm of such place. All rooms are different and cozy; BUT comfort is medium low, bed is uncomfortable, pretty hard, in the bathroom an hot water tap on the sink was missing and no one cared. At the desk, English only by phone with the hotel manager. And watch out with a car, the access to the parking is stiff and pretty hard unless you have a 4WD

Poor acomodation

We booked two weeks ahead max of 3 person and we end up paying extra. Irma Diaz the receptionist was kinda bitchy to us. We showed our reservation and she told us booking online is different when you check in. We end up paying extra although reservation is for 3 person. Aside from that, no hot water on the shower. Can not believe this hotel runs with no hot water.

ROOM: Booked a deluxe room for 2 nights. Room didn't have windows, only a small door. Dark and depressing room. 1 chair with not so fresh upholstery. Was an issue with stained bed sheets which they replaced upon my request. Bathroom didn't have a window neither and had a very intriguing smell of disinfection product. Luckily I spend the entire day and most of the evening in town so had to use the room only to sleep/shower. INTERNET : got the password upon checking in. Didn't work... tried in all corners of the property but still no connection. Met another guest who told me that the internet was not working, she was already in the hotel for a few days. I can understand very well that there are internet problems in those countries but then tell you guests about it! it would have saved me time and effort. I complained about the internet on the second day, the day of my check out. The receptionist gave me another link to connect but also this one....didn't work! The other lady which I had met stayed 1 week in the Casa Liza, 1 week without internet. NOISE: San Miguel is famous for weddings, there are outdoor party places very close to the hotel. Breakfast staff is very friendly. LOCATION: a 15 minutes walk to town, very steep. Best of my 2 days staying : the moment I could leave.

A Marvelous Stay

While in San Miguel de Allende, I stayed at La Casa de Liza. It is simply a superb place to stay. The rooms are done in classic colonial style, they are clean, well maintained facility, and the staff could not be more hospitable. It has a kitchen were breakfast is served and you can even make your own. I loved it. Will be back to stay here again.
