Liked this hotel a lot! Wasn't perfect but still very nice. Clean, staff friendly and helpful. Some of the furniture and accessories were a little dated and maintenance could be a little better (sheers at the window were torn and drawer pulls were lose) but otherwise very pleased. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Breakfast was also very good

Awesome!! We recently moved to NC from MN and after a 3 day long road trip with our uhaul we checked in. We were excited see we were guest of the day (maybe they felt bad for us lol) but we checked in and went to bed. We had an early morning to sign for our new home so we grabbed breakfast to go. It was normal hotel food. I would definitely recommend it. It is free breakfast!!! When we came back after a long day of unloading our uhaul truck the 2 front desk ladies were awesome. Joking with me and definitely southern charm. I did ask why I couldn’t be guest of the day again LOL but I got cookies this time! Would recommend staying here. They do need some minor repairs like fresh paint, doors etc as it’s a little outdated but this isn’t a 5 star hotel! Oh and they are pet friendly which we NEEDED!

Needs a lot of up dates. Run down furniture in room—looks like stuff you see on the side of the road when people want to trash it. Bathroom in horrible shape! We almost checked out but we are only staying one night as we are just passing through. We will skip the free breakfast because I am not so sure I want to eat anything that is made/prepared here. I get a creepy and scary vibe here. I can’t sleep because I don’t feel comfortable and smell pot and cigarettes being smoked somewhere on this floor? We should of gone with our gut and checked out. Now I have to deal with no sleep.

Do not stay here! The manager, Angela Minnick, is a piece of work! My husband and I took a trip from California to North Carolina to visit my father in law. I made a reservation on the IHG website (the corporate company for Holiday Inn) for this Holiday Inn Express approximately a month before our trip. Because this was going to be a short trip with long flights, we decided to splurge and get the "Presidential Suite" (this hotel only has one such room). We received an email 2 days before our arrival inviting us to check in digitally, which we did. After taking a red eye flight from LA to NC and being awake for 30+ hours, we arrived exhausted and ready to pick up our key and relax in the jacuzzi tub in the room. We were given a room key. We took it and went to the room. However, it was not the 750 square foot suite we reserved a month prior and digitally checked into 2 days prior, it was a standard room. When I went back to the front desk to explain they gave us the wrong room, the front desk clerk explained she was new, and that was the key that the manager left for her to give us. She then called Angela (the manager) on the phone to inquire as to why we were not given the room we reserved. Angie proceeded to tell me over the phone that it was too bad we made our reservation using Booking.com or some other 3rd party app (umm no, we used Holiday Inn website) and that she had allowed a prior guest to extend their stay in that room, so we needed to take the inferior smaller room. Ummmm.... What?? I told her we made our reservation a month prior and had a confirmation from 2 days prior, and that she needed to honor our existing reservation, and not just give our room away! She refused. I told her that she couldn't do that and that the situation was B.S., at which time she told me she no longer wanted us at her hotel and to leave. Seriously?! We were 3,000 miles from home on zero sleep with nowhere to stay. She literally gave away our room, and then kicked us out! And this was AFTER the hotel charged almost $600 to my credit card! She said the charge would be reversed in 7-10 days. When I asked how I was supposed to pay for a new hotel (if I could even find one) with no money, she told me, "Not my problem." Thank goodness we found the far superior Hampton Inn down the street, who took us in after hearing our horror story with this hotel. Do yourself a favor... stay there instead! This woman should NOT be allowed to work with the public. And the final kicker? 5 days after we arrived back home in CA, she charged my credit card approximately $156.00 as a "Cancellation fee". Ummm, as explained above, we didn’t cancel. I am now going through the hassle of filing a dispute with my credit card company. To get this charge removed. This place is a joke!

Two night stay

Friendly staff and rooms are clean. The breakfast area is a little tight during COVID, but the hot breakfast had good choices. I was surprised that I was the Member of the Day, what a nice touch! My colleagues and I were happy with the hotel and location for our business activities.
