It's relatively inexpensive. That's about all that can be said for it. A room with two beds cost $800 per night. The sheets seemed clean but old. No bottled water. No face towels, just two (old) bath towels. One of the bulbs in the 3-light chandelier was out. The lock on the door worked, but not well. The man behind the front desk wasn't rude but wasn't welcoming. It must once have been very nice. It isn't any more.
Not worth more than 600 pesos (30usd maxi) a night

The positive side is the central location apart from that there are only fans, the service is the bare minimum andv the breakfast is the bare minimum, not enjoyable at all. I stayed in a hostal called black and white in San Miguel de Allende and that was a good breakfast, home made tortilla or eggs, etc. For the price that they ask this is really not a good price quality ratio. I can't recommend this place. I also arrived and had to ask for them to change the sheets cause they were dirty. And I aldo hab to ask for the fan to be changed cause mine wasn't working well. I do give some. Points to the service because they were polite and respectful.
Many others to choose from

But in the one way system we were right here and so we stopped, and it was only about 10 minutes back to the main tourist attractions. The parking is not free, but it is cheap upon production of your hotel receipt, at a secure parking just a few blocks away. The room was relatively small - the promised King size was only a Queen and the pillows were hard. There were 2 oval windows high up near the ceiling which seemed like giant eyes looking in ! Some of the plaster needed repair. Good wifi and shower. Breakfast was sparse: couple slices of small toast, few slices of fruit with spoon of yogurt, coffee, and earliest was 8 a.m.
Constant traffic past the entrance. Best find a quieter street.

1st room shown was cold (there are no heaters or A/C) damp, dark and full of gas fumes. The site is out of date as now there are no coffee machines or bottles of water.
The internet is often off. Space heaters in the courtyard (where you have breakfast) were never on. Breakfast is not made to order!! One is given a very small amount of fresh fruit with 1 spoonful of yogurt, 3 slices of cheap bread toasted between 2 with margarine and cheap jam portions and a pot of coffee. The cups are cracked and chipped, no plates given for the pathetic amount of toast and everything is hand washed! The courtyard fountain was only on twice (once overnight). There are only 3 coathangers in the wardrobe within a very small room.
On the last morning, there was no sign of breakfast. The guy in reception, when asked, said we had to walk around to a sister hotel. The food there was better but I was furious as we were not told in advance and we were short of time on our last day.
Good stuff......comfy beds, great showers, lovely staff especially Venezuelan Rosa who was very helpful finding bedside lamps that worked etc. Unfortunately she was not there on our last day to receive a good tip.

This is a nice hotel that includes breakfast. Lots of choices for your made to order breakfast. Our room was hard to keep cool since there wasn't a very big window that didn't get much air flow. There was a floor fan in the room which helped but when it's hot out, it's just not enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a good location.
