Excellent location, great hotel

It was a great stay. Was here for 4 days. Absolutely great experience. Great and friendly staff. Must try breakfast especially the croissant. The location was good too as it is within walking distance to the Rhine river, the Christmas market and the train station to Zurich.

I am Atanas Yolov from Bulgaria. I and my family lived in Vienna House for 3 days from 20.07. to 22.07.2022. it was our first time in Switzerland and in Schaffhausen and we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful hotel and the magnificent city. The hotel is brand new, spotlessly clean and in excellent location. The employees are always smiling and extremely polite. We were especially helped by the administrator Mrs. Tanya, for we are very grateful to her. We will gladly return to Vienna House.

Smart, modern hotel in an extremely convenient location.

This is a very modern and stylish hotel, extremely convenient for the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the historic city centre. Despite its proximity to the centre, it’s actually in quite a quiet location. The bedrooms are well insulated for sound, so we heard very little noise from the station or outside generally. The hotel overall, including the rooms, are decorated and furnished in a contemporary, “corporate” style, which some may find lacks charm. But the lobby, bar and restaurant are smartly decorated with good quality materials and artistic touches. The room was functional but very clean, efficient and comfortable. We stayed for a few nights and felt the hotel was welcoming and safe. I would give the restaurant 4 out of 5. It provided a very good, typically Swiss buffet breakfast and a pleasant pasta meal on our first evening. It was very quiet and we enjoyed friendly, personal service. However, on another evening, the Caesar salad was underwhelming. Our server was kept very busy as the restaurant was very full and there was, let’s say, a misunderstanding, about our wine order, which resulted in us paying quite a bit more than we expected. The city centre is very historic, interesting and attractive to wander around. There’s plenty of choice of restaurants and cafes. From the main station you can reach the Rheinfalls via two alternative local stations - Schloss Laufen and Neuhausen Rheinfall. You can also take a train along the Rhine valley to places like Stein am Rhein and lake Konstanz, or get to Zurich quite easily.

A very pleasant modern hotel, conveniently situated 2 minutes from the station and close to the delightful old town of Schaffhausen. Our room was spotless and very quiet despite its proximity to the station, with comfortable beds, air-conditioning and nice toiletries. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Savier in the restaurant.

Very Nice, clean and well organized hotel. Friendly staff. In middle of city centre and everything on walking distance. Good choice at breakfast and very Nice diner choice too, well prepared! Underground parking (city) with direct access to hotel! Always a pleasure to stay here.
