The Best Yet
My wife and I have been taking road trips for the past fourteen years or so, and have visited most of the states in our great country. Although usually staying in guest cottages, cabins, or housekeeping units we have also spent a good deal of time in hotels, mostly the major chains, as circumstances warrant. Over the years we have seen the good, the bad, and the downright ugly in the hospitality field. Candlewood Suites in Sierra Vista turned out to be one of absolute best experiences we've had to date. We stayed for four nights, and our suite was exactly that - unlike the small single rooms that some chains now call "suites". The rooms were large, very well appointed, and complete with every amenity. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one might need for a comfortable stay. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, specialty items were available at no cost, and even the laundry was free. I could go on, but suffice it to say that I highly recommend Candlewood Suites in Sierra Vista and would certainly return. This hotel will not disappoint.
I would stay again
Very nice suite. Kitchenette had everything and more that I wanted. There was a large common dining area that was good for an evening drink with friends and games around the table. The facility was clean, well thought out and delightful to stay. One night the hotel had food catered in (Olive Garden I think) and called it family night and fed those interested (first come first served) dinner. Highly recommend
Fabulous Stay. Highly Recommend.
I have stayed at countless hotels around the world. I don't need luxury, but a place that is clean, quiet and efficient. This hotel was all of those things and so much more. In fact, I had arrived from Scottsdale from a resort, and my stay at Candlewood far exceeded that previous location. The location was a great base for Tombstone, Bisbee and other area attractions. Less than 30 minutes in any direction. The staff were warm, cheery and very helpful. The rooms were quiet, clean, comfortable and stocked with all the basic supplies needed. Anything missing was attainable from the lending library (anything from a blender to a crockpot to a waffle iron to a neck massager); food items also available for purchase. Coffee and tea were free. Wifi worked flawlessly. Parking was plentiful and free. IHOP is a 1 minute walk out the front door; gas station beside hotel. My only 'complaint' is that there was a shortage of outlets near the bed for plugging in our phones. (Lots of plugs elsewhere in the room.) Housekeeping was consistent - lots of towels provided. Housekeeping was provided on a schedule but also on request. Room was spotless. We would hands down stay again at this location. (Having said all of that, we left this location and went to the Candlewood Suites in Tempe, expecting the same experience. This was not the case and would not stay there again. It was horribly dated and did not have the same amenities, warmth or charm.)
Just the best
We had to stay in a hotel for a week while the home we were buying closed. We had moved across the country and didn’t know the area at all. IHG had mailed out new credit cards to the wrong address when our account upgraded and accidentally canceled all our credit cards. That in turn messed up the reservation made with the free 4th night. Thank goodness for the amazing CandleWood staff and manager of this hotel and the holiday Inn next door! If not for the help of these wonderful people we would have been sleeping in a already packed van on the street. A long stay here is perfect, a beautiful room with a full-size stocked kitchen. A pantry, free laundry, discounts at restaurants, gym and kitchen equipment on loan . This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at traveling across the USA.
Great rooms!
Rooms were perfect with kitchenettes and full refrigerators. Excellent location as a jumping off point for Bisbee and Kartchner Caverns. Friendly and helpful staff. Borrow a game from the lobby. We stayed an extra night.
