Surprised at how much I liked this place

I am a Marriott person and ALWAYS stay at a Marriott. Due to a family funeral, my sisters decided to stay at this hotel because one had to bring a dog and this place was pet friendly. I decided I wanted to be near them, so I also stayed here. This hotel was very clean, breakfast was good and the staff was exceptional. For future stays in Sioux Falls, I will be staying here again. I was very impressed with this hotel.

Cold cold cold pool

Pool was freezing as were hallways and lobby. Room was clean and slept well. If you need anything plugged in bedside, forget it as our phone cords wouldn’t stay in outlets. Woke up to not charged phones for our travel home.shower leaked water on floor. Door kept blowing open in the breakfast room sending snow and cold air in. Trendy motel too bad heat and warm pool weren’t included. HAS NO HOT TUB!

To start, I booked the room the first part of January. The first week in February, I was called asking if they could change us to a king size bed. I had booked a room with 2 queens because we needed them. The beds were not queens, they were doubles. One of the beds was so close to the wall that the second person had to slide in and out from the bottom. The evening we checked in, the “cloud” hanging from the ceiling had one loose wire so when the fan on the heater would blow, it would swing wildly. The bathroom door didn’t quite fit right so that if you sat in the only chair in the room, an office chair, you could watch the person in the bathroom showering. The coffee on the coffee bar at breakfast was cold and we had to ask for forks and plates at the breakfast bar which was extremely messy. The staff was very nice at the front desk. Will we stay here again? Nope.

Stayed during Blizzard Olive. Staff was very kind, calm and helpful. Room was clean and spacious for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Hotel was clean and all around comfortable. We even used common area to play family games. Our family would definitely stay again!

Bathroom barn door came off the track shortly after our arrival. The maintenance person was not onsite and they didn't know how long of a wait it would be so the desk attendant brought us keys to a different room. Excellent customer service!
