3 years later....wish I had not given it a second chance
Three years ago I gave this location a bad review for broken door locks. I should have not given it a second chance. They are in the middle of a remodel and the place is full of dust, not good if you have allergies or dust issues. The room had not been remodeled at this time, they were working in the common areas. The business center was closed, the breakfest was in a small conference room and not well set up. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES, NOT WHAT YOU WILL FIND AT THIS TIME!!!!!
Avoid at all costs
Do not, I repeat, do not stay at this property as long as Mistie is working here. She is the rudest person that I’ve ever encountered at a hotel ever. Ever. James, the GM, has better upgrade his staff if he wants other people to stay here. She came out and yelled at me and my wife about a credit card. I asked her to bring it down just a bit and she was even worse. My wife was in awe at how she treated us as soon as we walked in. If my reservation wasn’t a prepaid, no cancellation, I would’ve walked out. There are so many other nice properties on this street to have someone treat a guest like Mistie does. Go to the Country Inn, Hampton Inn, or Holiday Inn, basically anywhere but here. You’ve been warned. And of course after you prepay then you get a notice that they’re doing construction and to pardon the dust and falling debris. So enjoy your stay by getting yelled at by Mistie and then get covered in falling debris. This won’t ever happen again. And I come here all the time for business. My stays will be elsewhere. Yours should too.
Stayed here again while working in Anderson. The room was better this time but I had to have my room key reactivated 3 times while there. This place is cheaper than others so I guess you have to give up something.
Would not recommend
After driving for 10 hours checked in, went to the room to relax. The first room we were given had not been cleaned from the previous guests. The next room had at least been cleaned, the carpet in the room was filthy though and the furniture is old. There are other minor cosmetic issues throughout the hotel. The breakfast was not good, eggs were wet, like they had water in them, coffee tasted like the grounds had been used more that once and some of the fruit was rotten. I won't rate it as terrible because the place is currently under renovation, so maybe they can bring it up to par.
I would NOT stay here
On the outside it doesn't look too bad, they were renovating the outside, but our room was horrible. We couldn't even take our shoes off inside the room because of how dirty the carpet was.The breakfast was horrible. I expect way more from Comfort Suites
