This was one of the best holiday Inn Expresses we have ever stayed in. Every thing was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Cynthia makes the best breakfast! She was very friendly also. Definitely recommend this property.

Horrible Customer Service

I had a girl's weekend planned with family . I booked a suite so we would have plenty of room. When I arrived, I was told that they didn't have my reservation. I had received an email confirmation the day before so I showed that to the desk clerk. She said she still didn't have a reservation for me. I gave her the confirmation number again and she said, "I told you we DON'T have a reservation for you!" I stated that you do and again gave her all the information. She then said my reservation had been canceled because my credit card didn't go through. When I asked what credit card, I then realized that the card had been compromised a few months ago and reissued. The compromised card was the card on file with my HIG rewards. Didn't even think about changing it on my profile.) I then asked why I wasn't contacted and she said she wasn't on duty and had no idea. I again stated that I couldn't believe my room was canceled without notifying me. She got an attitude at that time and said she told me that it wasn't her. I then asked if the suite I booked was available. She said no. I asked what was available. She said a double. I asked how much. It was $80 more than the suite I had booked. I stated that that didn't seem fair. She then got an attitude and let's just say that she definitely needs a course on how to provide "good customer service." If her attitude represented the attitude of others that worked there, I'm happy that my reservation was canceled. After that encounter, I left and went to a Hilton property, which I should have done in the beginning. They were extremely nice. Gave me a discounted rate because of everything that had happened. Shame on you Holiday Inn for not being more customer friendly. Shame on you for not contacting me before you canceled my room. I would have happily supplied you the new card #. Instead I was treated horribly by a desk clerk.

An unexpected extended vacation

My Dad and I recently went on a road trip to Graceland and stayed in this hotel (about 10 minutes away). While in the area, my Jeep had some issues that made it undriveable, thus extending our stay by 9 days!!! The staff at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites was excellent :) They were so understanding as the timeline for getting my Jeep fixed changed on a day by day basis. The managers helped me to get the best rate and allowed us to stay in our room. We were both very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the how safe we felt there. Thank you Holiday Inn Express and Suites for making our unplanned stay so much better.

Mildew, Mold, & Bug Infested Room

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for a weekend. When we arrived the room smelled like mildew. Later that evening realized that the floor was wet. Mildew and mold starting to grow on window shade. Slugs in the room due to all the excess moisture. Spiders in corners. Front desk said that they were fully booked and we had to sleep in mildew/moldy room for that night. Would not recommend staying.

The Holiday Inn brand is the bottom of the barrel in the corporate hotel world. They build their hotels cheaply. I seem to keep having the same problem of hearing people stomping around in the room above me and I get interrupted sleep and I’m exhausted the next day. Also the people who work the front desk are the rudest that I encounter and I stay at a lot of different brands. Also the breakfast is a disappointment here. The eggs and the sausage both seem undercooked.
