Bem localizado

clean room but expensive parking

Avaliou em 31 de julho de 2022

room is pretty small but clean. Costly parking. Free city bus (Loops) stop right in front of the hotel, make sight seeing to Queens Market a breeze though short walking distance to shopping area. Small and pretty park nearby is a plus.

Cheap hotel with cheap rooms

Avaliou em 7 de julho de 2022

This hotel is in a great location it's the only thing going for it. The room was a disgrace. The carpet was threadbare under the desk. The shower was disgusting needed a good dose of bleach to reomove all the brown mould that was present. Did think maybe I should have been wearing my thongs in the shower. The view from our balcony, what a joke we looked at the building next door. No foxtel on the TV althought they advertise this. They told us that on the last day the water would be turned off at 8am, so much for an 11am checkout. We got up in time to shower etc to discover that as the morning went on the water was never turned off but we were not informed of the change. My advice is check the room before deciding to stay maybe you will get one that has been updated. The location near the CBD, Roma st bus afd train station plus the beautiful Roma St gardens were the only positives. A waste of my frequent flyer points.

Could be better

Cheap basic hotel in really convenient location which is what we wanted - comfortable clean beds, nice outlook over the park, but the shower stall needed a good scrub and disinfect to get rid of the black mould - this is a health risk, especially if someone had a mould allergy. Also, we had not anticipated paying $15 to park underneath so check for that if you are driving in. We had prepaid for the room, we paid for the parking on arrival but they still required a copy of my credit card "for extras" - I wasn't happy about this, what extras? There's no minibar in the room. Not a good way to treat customers.

Good value

Avaliou em 14 de junho de 2022

This hotel was good value for money. It's within short walking distance of the CBD, although it's an uphill walk on the way back to the hotel. Google Maps will tell you to use Jacob's Ladder to get from Edward St to the hotel. This is a long staircase that you might struggle with if you're unfit. The room was clean and the bathroom was recently renovated. Shampoo is provided but bring your own soap if you don't like body wash. (Friendly suggestion to the hotel: soap holders would be useful). It was good to have a balcony. The free-to-air channels were available and in high definition, but the handful of Foxtel channels were scrambled and unwatchable. I slept well, although there was a noisy garbage truck at about 4.30am on one of the mornings, which obviously wasn't the hotel's fault. I liked having a clock radio. Not enough hotels have them these days. It was handy to have an onsite restaurant, too. The meals were very nice. Thumbs up. We hope to return.
