Needs a little TLC

Comfortable, cozy spot with great views. My room was well equipped upon arrival, however, Housekeeping during the week was pretty sad. My room wasn't 'cleaned' the entire week I was there and I had to ask for clean towels, cups, toilet paper and soap. The place needs a fresh coat of paint and thorough cleaning. The staff were pleasant and helpful though, with the exception of the Front Desk Clerk on duty when I checked out who had an attitude and was less then helpful, which soured an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Wanted a night in Squamish after driving Duffy Road and visiting good friends in Pemberton

One can tell the Inn ranks third in place to the Brewery and Restaurant. Great location being close to the Marina for my "sailor hubby" and close to Cleveland for shops for me. There is an elevator but we took the wide stairs where there is a small meeting room. The desk staff were helpful both when we arrived and when we left. There is a 10 pm QUIET policy which is good being on top of a popular pub and restaurant. Parking was in front of hotel and wondering if they now have taken care of snow clearing as per previous review.

Tired Furnishings and not Welcoming

This is for the hotel section. We knew check-in time was 4pm, but on a very hot day we were hoping an hour earlier we’d be able to get into our room or sit somewhere cool, but no, we were told to come back as check-in was 4pm by the unwelcoming check-in desk attendant. We sat outside & watched as 15 mins later a couple arrived with bags & checked in. We returned at 4:10pm with our bags. The check-in attendant had to go & check if the room was ready, luckily it was… but when we arrived at the room it was so hot, no air-con, just 2 fans, which did not cool the room down overnight even with the window wide open. The bed wasn’t comfortable & the room quite small. The freezer section in the fridge was completely iced up & would not fit a small freezer block. The rooms & furniture are tired & very used. We would not recommend a stay at this hotel.

Amazing food, great service. Our waitress Olivia was the best! Attentive, kind, super friendly! This is our 3rd time here and we absolutely love it! We will be back! Food is so tasty! Great selection of beers! I recommend for anyone passing through or staying in Squamish!

Stayed 3 nights in January 2022. Please note - this review is for the hotel only. We chose Squamish to avoid paying Whistler prices - all tolled, we probably saved ourselves over $800 by choosing Howe Sound. The rooms are rustic and the furniture is pretty beat up, but it's habitable. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway. What really knocked 2 stars off this rating, though, is the snow-clearing. Or should I say lack thereof. The "parking" area in front was covered in huge windrows and drifts, which I got hopelessly stuck on prior to leaving one morning. It took 3 people to push it out. The sidewalk in front of the building also had at least 15 cm of snow on it, and their solution to clearing it was to throw ice melter on top of it. Predictably, it only melted a couple of centimetres off the top which promptly froze overnight and made the whole thing very treacherous. We watched several people almost break their necks trying to get in the building. When we asked the front desk about it, their solution was to tell us "Don't worry, it's going to rain in a few days and that will take care of it." I mean, come on...a snow shovel is only 10 bucks at Crappy Tire...
