Amazing place and location
My husband and I stayed at the Ptarmigan to ski and we will never stay anywhere else. Rebecca at the front desk was extremely friendly and the manager, Larry, helped us move all our bags (we had a ton) on check in and check out. Everyone there was so nice. The place was clean, and they even had grab and go breakfast burritos ready to grab before first chair. Lastly, the bartender and server gave us the best advice on which lifts and runs to take to get the most out of the mountain. We are so grateful. Plus... the ski in and ski out location... you can’t beat that!! The Ptarmigan is a must stay when skiing in Steamboat!
Beautifully Renovated and AMAZING STAFF
We were so impressed with everything about this hotel. It's slopeside (ski-in/ski-out) with a ski valet and a great bar and restaurant on site. The staff couldn't be more amazing, there was one night my child was dehydrated/altitude sickness and one of the staff drove out to the pharmacy to get us pedialyte and Gatorade.
Ideal location for Skiing in Steamboat
The Ptarmigan Inn provided an amazing experience for visiting the Steamboat Colorado area. They also have a ski/snowboard store and restaurant in addition to being a ski in and ski out hotel. In visiting here during a blizzard with my fiancé we experienced an amazing amount of hospitality to the point where we were greeted with local draft beers from the hotel’s front desk staff. Not to mention we got a fantastic deal as it was newly remodeled during our visit.
Ski in ski out
Nice simple hotel with excellent, helpful staff. Rooms are ok with bathrooms on a small side. Good hot tub/pool but no gym.Ski in/ski out with convient access to slopes. Good, large breakfast - if you have an hour to spare - just very slow.
Ski Trip
Great place to stay, very clean, hotel staff went beyond to make our stay memorable. Ski out ski in, breakfast was great. Once the bus arrived we didn’t have to touch our bags they were delivered to our room. Same when it was time to leave they picked them up outside our room door and loaded them on the bus.
