Ótimo local para visitar o Columbia Gorge, muito central para as maiores atrações. Um bom hotel mas dá mais a sensação do tipo de hotel mais orientado para conferências do que o lazer. Faltam os toques mais "cozy" e personalizados que se espera deste tipo de hotéis. Pessoal simpático. Fantásticas vistas e boas zonas de lazer. Tem um bom restaurante com excelentes pratos. Quartos com decoração clássica e inferiores ao usual nível dum deluxe, especialmente o quarto de banho.

Fiquei neste maravilhoso Lodge por apenas 4 dias, mas devo dizer que a estadia foi muitíssimo agradável, não apenas pelo hotel em si, mas também pela região. As instalações do hotel são de excelente qualidade, e a estrutura para eventos também é excelente, já que estive lá a trabalho. No final do dia, você pode aproveitar o "fire pit" e preparar "samores" com práticas caixinhas vendidas na recepção, que já vêm com o palito, os marshmalows, a barra de chocolate e os "crackers". Minha avaliação do staff foi irregular, pois ao mesmo tempo em que eu fui muito bem atendido em alguns dias, em outros, o atendimento beirava o desleixo. Mesma avaliação feita para o restaurante. Nas duas primeiras noites e no primeiro almoço, o restaurante impressionou a todos, a comida estava divina, e a carta de vinhos do Oregon era invejável! Já nas últimas duas noites, o jantar foi apenas razoável e o serviço dos garçons também deu uma caída. Não descobri o motivo para esta irregularidade. Quem é brasileiro como eu, e cresceu vendo séries como Daniel Boone, àquela região é um show a parte. Tudo é maravilhoso e típico. O cuidado com a história também é uma coisa de louco. O rio é maravilhoso. Sei que o hotel fica tecnicamente em Washington, mas de qualquer maneira aquela região entre o Oregon e Washington é maravilhosa. Recomendadíssimo. Tenho que voltar com a família, pois as trilhas e demais atrações do hotel também são imperdíveis.

We had a great stay at Skamania for a family get-together. Beautiful grounds and view from the hotel. Great food at the hotel restaurants (including lots of vegetarian options!) and good location in the Columbia River Gorge.
Hospitality cannot be found here.

Please reconsider staying here, eating here, or spending your money supporting this business.
My husband and I have stayed here in the past and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I anticipated the same type of encounter when bringing my mom and best friend for a girls trip.
I was wrong. Hospitality doesn’t happen here. Accommodating doesn’t describe the atmosphere. Kind and friendly doesn’t describe the staff we encountered.
Starting from our first experience: Friday night dinner- prime rib was the reason we wanted to come and eat, we made reservations in advance knowing that we would be staying at the lodge. We asked for a seat with a view which was two tables down the same row we had been seated and was very rudely told that that was not possible since our waitstaff was not assisting that table. Shortly after, she seated another group at that table and it was assisted by our same waiter. The food that once had bold flavors and exciting presentation lacked both now. The service was slow, inconsistent and the food took a very long time to come to us. We will not come back to this restaurant due to the low quality ingredients, unfriendly service and low value of the meal.
The room is modernized with minimalistic and rustic touches. Though the cleanliness is something that could be enhanced, there was hair in our towels and discoloration on the sheets. Please note that there are no screens on the windows. There is no channel guide, the TV and cable system is dated. They do not provide a realistic amount of amenities based on quantity of guests per room (example: three women for a weekend, one roll of toilet paper, two cups and two K cups, three towels and two hand towels). Also please note the ventilation in the bathroom is non existent and the fan does not circulate…
We ordered room service for lunch. Please tell me, why have room service if it is such an inconvenience to call that they don’t want to take your order? My mom called to order and once they confirmed they would take the order, they didn’t give a clear time of when it would be ready so my mom walked down to pick it up. The delivery staff called me and was super mad that my mom was not answering the door, so I quickly called my mom to send her back upstairs since we were out walking about.
Let’s talk about breakfast….
They told us we should make breakfast reservations so we definitely did! We arrived right on time to a hostess who was also quite unfriendly… we were added to a waitlist of 5 other parties despite the reservation. The table next to us was eating food I didn’t see on the menu and mentioned the buffet option, I asked the waitress about the buffet and she seemed confused and wasn’t sure when it ended or if I could go eat at it… as other guests were actively serving themselves at the buffet… thankfully, I was fortunate to have not missed the buffet by a half an hour. Service is just painfully inconsistent.
In the afternoon time (4:15 pm) we took our card decks to the bar so my mom could have a beverage. They would not let us order food inside because they were only serving on the patio outside. At 5:00 pm the very rude hostess from the previous evening told us that we’d need to leave because they were no longer seating people outside because it’s cold so we’d need to leave or order food. Which didn’t make any sense because we had a paid beverage and they just told us they wouldn’t serve us food.
I’ll just finish it here while I’m actually still staying here at the lodge. If I could have- I’d have left after dinner last night but the cancellation policy doesn’t work that way. So please if you do decide to stay here, don’t eat here and if you do… let’s hope for the best.
TERRIBLE service and treatment.

Wow, where do I start? I booked a Saturday stay at a premium price and booked a dinner reservation that evening for my partner's birthday. We waited over 30 mins to be seated and the person who seated us was rude to us saying she called our name twice. We were seated near to her where she instructed us to sit. Then she sat us at a dirty table. When I asked a wait staff to please clean our table she said "they are very busy." When she came over to clean it herself I said Thank You and she didn't acknowledge us. Then we found out she would be our server so we gave her another chance. Then she came with our waters and didn't acknowledge us AGAIN after I said Thank You. Not just terrible service but terrible treatment - I will NEVER be booking back again. The front desk staff wasn't friendly at all either. WHY? The rooms are almost $500. We should be treated kindly and given amazing service. BUST...
