This one goes on my list of good finds

We took a chance on this hotel, not sure about parking etc. I am truly glad we did. Parking was fine once we found a good way to enter the property. The person who checked us in, whom I suppose is the owner, was clearly eager to provide good customer service. The room rate was nice, rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. Plenty opportunities within short walk in the vicinity for dinner. We had a great seafood meal at a place within 10 minutes walk distance.
Adequate for our needs

Was there this past weekend for a family wedding. Location is great, very close to Old Sturbridge Village and within walking distance of all you could need. Reservation process and check in was perfect. All questions answered - including request for 1st floor room. Room itself was as advertised. No obvious problems with housekeeping. Water pressure in shower was adequate. Bed and bedding were clean and no problems with the comfort of the mattress. AC was adequate and quiet. Internet was free and quick. Room was a bit larger than expected. Only real negative was the free breakfast. Only cereals and breads, nothing hot available. Nothing special or spectacular, but certainly no major complaints Usual tiny pillows for the bed, and cheap linens in the bathroom, but request for both additional pillows and extra towels was granted very quickly. Would stay here again if in the area.
IF I COULD RATE IT LOWER I WOULD!

I travel to Sturbridge 2x a year for business and normally stay at another hotel. I mistakenly booked this hotel for a 2 night stay hoping to save a little money. HUGE MISTAKE! I checked in and confirmed my 2 night stay with the gentlemen at the front desk. Entered my room and pulled down the bedding and immediately noticed stains all over the sheets. I called down to the front desk and asked that new sheets be brought up and they were brought up immediately (and I helped remake the beds as it was late and we just wanted to get to sleep). The bathroom had an awful smell (we still can't definitively determine what the smell was) and the edges of the bathroom floor were still dirty. We would have checked into another hotel but there are no options during the antique show so we couldn't leave. Fast forward to the next day when I received a phone call from the front desk telling me that housekeeping went to clean my room and my stuff was still in it. I told him that my stuff was still in there because I had a 2 night stay. He told me that I had only booked 1 night. I immediately went onto my reservation on ChoiceHotels.com and saw a big red cancelled. I told him that I had not cancelled my reservation and booked for 2 night and was told by him that there were no rooms available that night and that, again, I had only booked one night. I told him I was calling Choice Hotels and handling it through them as clearly he had done something to my reservation (I guess he wasn't happy about having to provide clean sheets). I called the 800 number and was told that I had, in fact, booked 2 nights and that the hotel had cancelled my reservation and that Choice Hotels was filing a formal complaint regarding the Econolodge. I called the hotel back and told them their corporate office confirmed that they had cancelled my reservation and he then told me "Choice Hotels cancelled it and they're lying to you". I explained that I was not leaving my business trip to come and empty my room and that they were not permitted to enter my room (I had my computers and other valuables in the room). Choice Hotels was unable to find us another room in Sturbridge and we had to cut our trip short. At 9 pm I received a call from the person in the Econolodge telling me that he had some cancellations (they probably saw how disgusting the rooms were and left) and that I could stay another night. I told him exactly what he could do with his available room. To sum up-FILTHY AND AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE CHOICE HOTEL LINE. Avoid like the plague!!!
Serves its purpose, and is a good value

All in all, I was satisfied with my stay here. The room was clean, but the floor was somewhat dirty in the area around the desk, as if the housekeeper rushed that area, or never went under the desk to clean the floor. Otherwise, there were no cleanliness issues. The wifi worked fast and efficiently, and it was a very quiet hotel. Of course, part of that reason may have been because there didn't seem to be many cars in the lot.
Front desk was friendly, especially at checkout. However, at checkin, when I was waiting someone checking in, the front desk clerk vocally stated her room number aloud. This is could be a guest security issue and a major no-no from a desk clerk.
I was gone before breakfast, so cannot comment.
No Air Conditioning

We stayed in this hotel on the hottest night in July this year. We booked the hotel simply to have air conditioning for our elderly dog after a dog event. Check in was fine, the room was relatively clean, though under the bed had not been swept. When we checked into the room, it was warm, so we turned the air conditioner to high, thinking that with the heat, it was just taking longer to cool the room off. Finally around 11 pm, we called the front desk- someone came to the room and did agree that the air conditioner was not working. We were unable to change rooms as the hotel was sold out that night. We asked for a fan - a small little desk fan was brought. It was unbearably hot. The breakfast buffet had very few options - I had a stale bagel and there was no creamer for the coffee. We were not offered a discount for the night of hell.
