The hotel is very nice some great decor. Shower was fantastic and the beds super king would recommend the hotel as a great stop over on your journey. Very clean and quite staff very helpful great location just off A3 so easy on off of nail road. Will stay again when in area

A beautifully appointed hotel and easy to find just off the A3. Extremely comfortable room with exceptional shower and luxurious towelling and toiletries. Despite being advertised, secure parking was not available, had to park in public road outside hotel and would not have booked had I known this. No information offered at reception about the facilities, apparently there is a pool somewhere. All information had to be obtained via Q code on the tv screen not great for those of us getting on in years,even the menu and booking for the restaurant. All to no avail as it was full all evening! I asked on reception if they could recommend an alternative restaurant nearby but none was offered. I would suggest to anyone staying here to pre book the restaurant way in advance and get confirmationof secure parking. A lovely hotel that lacked empathy for guests

Our return visit to the Ansares

We decided to return overnight to the hotel on our way home south. 4 days before we were due to arrive we received an email to say that the pool would not be functioning on the day we arrive. Ok there's a problem we accept that but not great. On arriving at the reception desk we asked about the restaurant and they confirmed it was open and available from 8.30 to 11.00. This was important foe our stay as we wish to sample the aged beef that is famous and on the menu. We were told not necessary to book so we wen to the restaurant at 8.30 to find it closed.the only place to eat was the bar with a completely different menu. If we had know this we would not have stayed. At reception the next morning we were told the restaurant is only open at the weekends and the fact that we were told differently was not their problem. That said the room was as we expected and the breakfast was lovely. Having checked by phone and the internet that the restaurant was available at the time of booking and before arrival just not good enough.

Understated modern elegance, simplicity and style, beautifully executed and extremely peaceful. Stayed for just one night and ate in the adjoining Essentia Gastrobar, which was equally good. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent modern hotel

We had a unplanned three day stop in Tarancon after our car broke down. Luckily, we were able to spend it at the Hotel Ansares which was very comfortable. Very interesting deco in the public areas, really comfortable room (with the comfiest pillow and duvet I have experienced in some time) and with what appears to be the most popular restaurant/bar in town. Only downside was that there was some confusion over meals and prices - so ask for full details when you book in.
