Party of seven between Christmas and NYE which included three young children. Tasty (not fast-food-esque) chicken goujons and proper (local) sausages, chips and beans kept them all happy, plus ice-cream for pudding. Adults had enchilada from the specials board x 2 (tasty and just that bit different), fish and chips (delicious and huge) and All-Day-Brunch (huge and delicious) . All meals freshly cooked to order, yet all still arrived together - good co-ordination from the kitchen. Waiting staff attentive and friendly. Landlord serves good, real beer as well as a variety of gins & tonics. Will definitely return.

Had Sunday lunch here on a spur of the moment booking - everywhere else we rang was already fully booked, so thought we’d give this a try as they could fit us in - which says a lot in itself. It was very quiet and had absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever. The food was ‘ok’ but the service was very slow and we had to wait ages. It was a hot meal on a wet day - that’s about it though.

Great welcome

We went for couple of pints on a sunny Thursday afternoon. The welcome was friendly. The place was full of character. It has rooms but we were booked elsewhere. If the stay is as good as bars this will be our next stop when we pass this way. They made us and our dog welcome. Thanks.

BRILLIANT as always !

We have been here many times while on Holiday in Somerset, and this year was just as expected - PERFECT ! The food is fabulous and the portions are HUGE, so don't eat for the whole day, if you are going for an evening meal ! I had the Mushroom and Cheese Omelette with fries and salad - HUGE ! It was gorgeous. Others had the Beef Stroganoff, Halloumi Salad, and also the Chill Concarne. The Steak and Ale Pie was excellent too - again, HUGE ! The service was second to none - the Waiter was right on the ball, pleasant and very efficient - WELL DONE to him. The whole experience was fantastic and we went twice in our weeks Holiday, and will certainly go back there next year. You won't be disappointed by your visit.

Fantastic valentine's special meal

Had a wonderful meal at the Masons Arms last night, meal consisted of a sharing trio of starters, choice of mains and a sharing trio of desserts. The deal came with a bottle of wine. Each course was well cooked, delicious and good value for money. Fig tart with coconut sorbet was especially delightful.
