Quick and easy bar meal

Visited with friends for a bar meal. Lots of free parking and central location for all of us. The menu is quite limited without some bar favourites but the service was quick and the food was hot and fresh and tasty. The ham, egg and chips was very good. The downside was there was a function in the adjoining room so it was quite loud, but not as loud as the member of staff who kept shouting to other staff as he went in and out of the function, detailing what he was doing at each step. So loud….

Our annual dinner

We had our annual dinner at this venue for the first time this Feb. There were 26 in attendance and we had a variety of people wanting a 3 course and some a 2 course meal. Of the two course meals some wanted starter and main and some wanted main main and dessert. There was also a choice of three items in each course to choose from. This could have been nightmare, however everything went a smooth as clock work. We had our own room and the table laid out to our requirements. Each course were presented simultaneously with no delays and no confusion. Service was friendly and efficient. Everyone I spoke to thought it was the best Annual Dinner yet. Excellent value! Great food. Lovely venue, lovely meal and above all a lovely atmosphere. Thank you We will be back next year.

We had the carvery for Sunday lunch, first the tables were laid very nicely, the staff were so helpful and courteous. The meal plates were hot ,a choice of nice joints of meat and very fresh looking vegetables to help yourself too. Most impressed and will return.

We went as a group of 46 for Sunday Lunch.. ..Not having dined here before I was as organiser a bit apprehensive as it was a large group and we have had our disappointments ...I need not have worried. ALL the dining staff were so efficient, helpful and friendly ( especially Nan). Itwas a lovely room, laid out beautifully..The carvery was delicious, hot , tasty and plenty of choice. (£14:95 for carvery and coffee, not bad ) A member of staff was quick to help our lady on crutches with her plate, and was eager to do so..The coelliac ladys lunch was perfect, one of the best she'd had !..We have booked a dinner for later in the year as everyone was so impressed.Thank you Wensum Valley Golf Club for a lovely experience

Lovely Sunday carvery the meat was all so delicious and tender the plates were lovely and hot as was the food - nothing worse than cold food that’s supposed to be hot! The selection was great and the staff super friendly and helpful couldn't do enough great lunch for nearly 50 of us all ate hot meals at the same time
