Nicely appointed accommodation, lovely host, great place to stay

Nicely appointed property, in a country cottage traditional style with a modern twist. Well equipped. Split into two units - our family of 5 had the 2 bedroom unit which was good size. Beautifully kept, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Located on the same land as the owner's property but at a suitable distance for privacy. Surrounded by open fields and mountain views but only a 5-10 minute drive to Te Anau. Helen was a lovely host. The personal touches of freshly baked bread, butter and jam added to the experience and were very tasty! Helen did offer our kids pony rides but sadly rain put a stop to it but this again was a lovely touch. The addition of bedroom wardrobes (useful for longer staying guests), deck table/chairs to eat outside in the evening and perhaps a partition on the deck between the two units for privacy would be our suggested additions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We had a great couple of nights here with our daughter, son in law and grandkids aged 8 & 11. When we arrived we were given a delicious freshly baked loaf of warm bread and the following day when we returned home after a day out there was lovely date loaf waiting. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom is huge. The kids loved going on a horse trek adventure with Helen and David and enjoyed the other animals they got to interact with, the lovely dogs Kai & Duke, sheep, alpaca and the big rooster and his lady. Very clean, warm and comfortable also close to Te Anau township. Highly recommend and would stay here again.
