Cheap and you get what you pay for, but good
Staff at best speaks VERY little English, but try to make it work. Speaking Spanish (it IS Mexico after all!) would be best, but I made it work and didn’t even need Google Translate. This is a low end motel (not a hotel as it’s sometimes marketed). Makes a 1990s Motel 6 look good. The bathroom saw better years a couple of decades ago and there is some mold on the ceiling, but it’s minimal and not so gross considering it’s mold. There’s also some rust on the exposed plumbing. The sleeping are is clean, though the carpet was a bit stained. Bed was OK with clean sheets, though the pillow sucked and you only get two. The dresser drawers were difficult to pull out, the cabinet is warped. There is at least a couple of good restaurants nearby and a food truck on just outside the property with GREAT food. I think the biggest downside is noise. There seems to be one or more clubs nearby that create a lot of music noise at night. Also, road noise comes right through the walls, so if you want to sleep in the day GOOD LUCK! Another downside in the winter is that there is no heat.
good
nice room, clean, had two queens very comfy, oven, mic and tv all worked good. will stay there again. stayed sun-tues $ 43 usd.only 4 min to hoxie clinic. friendly staff not much english .will stay again
Inexpensive, rel. clean, has WiFi
Just walk/drive-in during weekdays for a rate in pesos. I paid $420 MXN per night (under $23 UDS rn) for a queen bed room with AC. Speaking Spanish will probably be useful. I am guessing the place changes a lot during weekends. It probably gets full so just showing up may not work. It's probably also more "noisy". It's kind of a cool place which reminds you of all the LA motels from back in the 70s and 80s. The facilities are probably from back then in fact but they are up-kept and some rooms have new AC units. I just wish they had mini-fridges. There's a bunch other similar motels in the nearby blocks.
