One night stay

Avaliou em 28 de julho de 2020

Actually stayed in August 2016. Took the Shinkansen from Osaka and stopped here for a night stay, to check out the Tsukiji Market. Super small but decent hotel. Super small bathroom too, but it’s very practical given we were just there for a few hours. I think we checked in around past 10pm and had to wake up around 2ish am and started walking to the market for an early queue. I think we got back around 6-7am and checked out around 1.. so we basically had appx 6 hours in total of experiencing this small hotel, and I must say tho it was short. I slept really well. Could be the comfortable bed. Thumbs up. I think this sorta hotel is good for budget travellers!

Uncomfortable Bed

The bed is totally uncomfortable (old styled spring bed, the coil already broken), and pillow also seems already used for years. I think they should consider to upgrade their bed completely. Cant recommend this hotel.

Not worth staying there

Avaliou em 25 de novembro de 2018

Stayed there purely because of the location as I wanted to watch the tuna auction in the early morning. Service was pretty average, staff was a bit cold and also not very fluent in English if you asked them anything outside the normal check-in process. Room was small as expected. Was actually surprised to find enough space between bed and window to open my suitcase. Bed was ok, not great but at least better than the Ikebukuro APA. Cleaning could definitely be improved. There were stains on the wall near the bed and above the bins. There was also constructions happening so a fair bit of construction noise during the day. I was up early to the tuna auction and was hoping to take a nap before I checked out. No luck getting a decent sleep with the noise on. In terms of location, it's close to the fish market, which is probably not so relevant to tourist now. In terms of train station, it's about 10mins walk but u do need to cross a few streets to get to the hotel and not all exits have lift if you have a big suitcase. Can't say I have any need to stay here again. Personally not really a fan of the APA chain as I've stayed in a few times and it's always a mix bag of people staying there and so I don't feel particular safe staying by myself and the beds in particular were not comfy at all.

Small room but clean and comfort. Provide amenities from Shiseido.

The room is small. I think all 3 star hotel in Japan has small room size, especially in Tokyo. The room is a good choice if you want to go Tsukiji market. There is seven eleven across the hotel. The hotel location is 5-7 min walk to subway. The room is small but it is enough for me and my wife because we only bring 1 medium luggage and 2 small backpacks. We tried to travel with light luggage because we need to move a lot and the room in Japan is small. The bath tub is small but surprisingly comfortable. I think it's because the bath room is really clean and I'm only 170 cm tall. They provide shampoo, hair conditioner, and body soap from Shiseido. The staffs can't speak English fluently but enough for check in process.

Bad

We had been in other Apa in Japan but this was the worst. The pillows were flat. Service wasn’t great but the so called breakfast was served as if we were in India. Instead of normal bread they served nan bread and the rest was disgusting. Cold coffee. Do not recommend at all although the location was good. There are other better places to stay for the same price.
