Lots to like about this hotel. Very warm and friendly staff, room clean and very cosy vibe, good aircon/heating, convenient laundry room (I got a big load washed and dried in under an hour, which was incredibly handy), and a good location if you're interested in exploring the Shitamachi areas of Tokyo like nearby Yanaka. Also has an amazing view from the roof terrace, which you mustn't miss (just wish they'd advertise its opening hours, because I rushed out of bed to catch the sunrise around 6.30am only to find the terrace door locked shut, which was a real downer!). Could occasionally hear some noise from other guests through the walls, but wasn't a big problem. Definitely recommend.

Sophisticated Oasis in the middle of Shitamachi

Landabout's hotel & cafe would easily fit in Harajuku or any modern parts of the city. Instead, it is an unusual and appreciated dot in Shitamachi's Negishi area, all pastel colors, deep carpet and woody counter. Though hardly crowded, the cafe had run out of the only cake they had on the menu. I had the soba ice cream, which was an incredibly tasty surprise. My wife' s drink was barely there: remove the ice and you're left with a straw and a gulp of liquid....At Harajuku prices, that annoys even more... Nice alternative to Ueno or Asakusa.

Great location which enabled easy travel across Tokyo to see all major sights. Staff very friendly - spoke English as well as Japanese. We were able to leave bags in secure storage on day we checked out allowing us to see more of the city. Rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit a little small but the roof terrace on the 15th floor made up for this. WIFI was quick and easy to access and breakfast was ‘build your own’ with a base of either toast or rice. Lovely stay at Landabout, would definitely recommend.

New Hotel! Very Clean!

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is a walking distance from the Uguisudani Station. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. They have a viewing deck at the 15th floor. They also have a laundry area. Our rooms are connected separated by a middle door that can be locked on either side. Although the rooms have no cabinets, they have enough space near the door for your luggages. Foods are available at 1st floor or the nearby restaurants.

日暮里に所要あり宿泊。鶯谷駅から徒歩５分位です。(艶っぽいのは駅前だけ。後は普通の街です)お部屋は和モダンな感じで、狭いながらも備品は全て揃っていて居心地良いしつらえです。フロントの方も近くの美味しいお店やお薦め教えて下さり、ホスピタリティが感じられました。
