The guest house is ideally situated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. The owners of the property are extremely hospitable and accommodating, they make you welcome and cannot do enough for you. I would recommend this establishment to anyone and will be staying there again.

Absolutely lovely little hotel. Spotlessly clean and the rooms were traditional with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fantastic and I can’t speak highly enough of the owners. They were attentive, caring and nothing was too much trouble for them. If you’re looking for a homely, well located hotel I highly recommend the Melba. Would definitely stay there again!

Sharon & Mark are wonderful hosts, very attentive, fantastic place to stay, good choice for breakfast, an excellent breakfast, rooms beautifully kept, very clean, we had a great night's sleep, very comfortable beds, excellent facilities, love the sweet treats we found hanging on our door when returning from evening out, it was much appreciated, also given a bag of goodies for our journey home, would highly recommend, thank you again Sharon and Mark

I recently spent a few nights at Melba House. Mark and Sharon are delightful hosts and went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect in every possible way. Melba House is immaculately maintained while being lovingly run. I received a very warm welcome from Mark and Sharon. Any questions that I had regarding the area were answered with a wealth of info. My bedroom was charming and warm, beautifully decorated and I have to say that my bed was super comfy. The attention to detail was apparent throughout my stay. Breakfast was great, lots of options and something for everyone. Melba House is a must if you are thinking of visiting the Torquay area - I look forward to returning to Melba House once again.

Amazing. If you go to Torquay stay here, it’s a lovely B&B. The hosts are genuine. Nothing is too much trouble, food fab the breakfast fruit & yogurt to die for. Great location & parking definitely stay again.. Thank you…
