LOOKED & FELT LIKE 3rd World WAR ZONE
Both Tampa Airport locations (Beaumont St & Memorial) are a disaster---and the overall prevailing atmosphere is "NO" and "we don't" added to extremely rude and under trained front office staff....I could NOT leave quick enough! BE WARNED: No continental breakfast---no maid service (might be a blessing!)---no towels---no premium channels---no handicapped rooms or parking---numerous unseedy types loitering around premises.....PLUS high number of transient construction workers as patrons. Very ghetto-ish. Staff did not even know which rooms had what amenities---like carpet/hard flooring----32" or 43" TV's---Free Towels??? Sound FUN? Or relaxing? Or even welcoming??? No to all three questions. I've stayed at ESA locations in other states and was highly impressed. ****NOT SO AT EITHER TAMPA AIRPORT LOCATIONS.**** Wasn't much different than I'd imagine an inner city bus terminal....dirty...old...and misused. My ADVICE? DRIVE AWAY---Quickly---before someone steals your car!!!
Never Stay at this hotel
We only stayed until we leave for our cruise on Thursday So im on vacation but up super early to vent. So we checked into our hotel around 4 this morning due to all the delays and what have u with our flights. (Not complaining lol). So we get in and go right to sleep bc obviously we are exhausted. So about 8am there is a bang on the door that wakes us up and here is the convo Me: who is it Woman: management can i speak to you for a min Me:gets up and opens door Women: is everything alright in here? Me: yes,(now im thinking, this isnt normal for a hotel to do this) Women: well we got a complaint of fighting coming from this room Me: (now pissed) nope not here, u must have the wrong room Women: well we got the complaint so im checking Me: again not here, we checked in at 4 this morning and went straight to sleep (now aggravated) Women: well the complaint said it was in the middle of the night Me: i just told u it wasn’t us (and closes the door) Women: (speaking to someone outside) it was definitely them bc i can tell by the way she was acting Me: (opens the door) no it definitely wasnt us Uggggh not today satan. Suffice it to say we are packing up and checking out but not before i get her name and the number to corporate. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Maybe we weren’t the right complexion for the protection.
OK, I deliberately chose the cheapest ESA I could find in Tampa so I suppose I get what I deserve: Not a single solitary piece of cookware or kitchenware. Not even a coffee cup or a spoon. I've stayed in multiple ESA's over the years and they all have had functional kitchenettes. Do they think travelers carry their own dishes around with them? I have to assume that they neglect to provide this stuff because people kept stealing it. At least it had a refrigerator and a microwave. Leaky shower faucet, and when I say "leaky" I mean it actually had a stream coming out. Giant, fast moving spider in my bed. Almost no watchable programming on the TV. Weirdos hanging around on the grounds. No "do not disturb" cards in the room. Another annoyance was no address on any of the stuff they gave me so when I traveled away and needed to quickly find my way back, it was a chore to discern which ESA I was staying at because they're all over the place.
Poor customer service will not recommend
The agent at the front desk was very rude. When checking in something was wrong with their iPad in it had trouble accepting my credit card. The agent at who was checking me in was getting very frustrated because she had a full lobby other folks were trying to check in as well. When finally getting things right. She gave me my room number in card in without any Receipts. When checking out the next day I received a cash app request from extended stay. I’m not sure how they find out my cash app information but that was very personal I’m assuming from my phone I put on file . But I would like to speak with someone regarding this poor experience .
A home away from home
This is the best stay I had in a while at a hotel. The price is great and cheaper than most yet better quality inside and out. I was helped by a lovely woman at the front desk Ms Sandra. I got my packages securely and enjoyed the quick check in and courteous breakfast. I do recommend this hotel for a stay for more than a few days so please. You will love the treatments from Ms Sandra and the rest of the helpful staff. The hotel is also built like a apartment complex which gives it a home feeling and more privacy. Rooms smell and look very clean. Housekeeping are polite and not intrusive.
