Good location with lake view. Hotel is a bit worn down though

Avaliou em 22 de dezembro de 2019

Location is good. Our room had lake view so is quite beautiful. Staffs are friendly but hotel is rather old and need some rework. Otherwise food, both dinner and breakfast is not bad and good value, Onsen is alright too.

Quiet traditional Japanese hot spring hotel

Avaliou em 4 de dezembro de 2019

Clean dated traditional Japanese hot spring hotel with traditional Japanese fine dinning dinner and breakfast. Our room comes with lake view, quiet and beautiful. Food and service was good. No complaint since the price was really cheap. Always see someone complaining the traditional Japanese hot spring hotels are dated, PLEASE ask yourself how much you pay. The price includes fine dinning. It's about quality of food, NOT quantity. Can you get a hotel room with fine dinning of same quality of food with the same price anywhere else? This is a very unfair comment to this hotel. The rule of the game never changes: You have to pay for quality.

Traditional Japanese Style

Avaliou em 21 de agosto de 2019

Traditional onsen hotel with valet parking. We booked both dinner and breakfast, so during check in, we have to choose the dinner time slot and the breakfast slot. Our meals were in the dining hall. We were in awe at the dinner spread. For those not too adventurous, the Japanese traditional food may not be appealing. We tried and enjoyed the food. Breakfast was also served in the same dining hall. Bath has to be taken at the onsen. From our room, we can view the 8:45 pm fireworks, or we can choose to take a few minutes’ walk to the lake to watch the fireworks. The room is big, but after setting up 3 futons, there is barely any walking space. We had a comfortable night sleep.

Old and Traditional charms

Avaliou em 18 de junho de 2019

We were a family of 4, with two kids (14 and 17) and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. There were yukata's in your room, and they were all very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were included with the room, and they were both Japanese style with more than ten dishes, unlimited rice and the choice of cold water or tea. The friendly staff will help you set up your bed in your room while you are sleeping. The onsen is split into four different pools, the outdoor, 38-39 degrees Celsius, moderate heat and high heat. The rooms have a view of the lake and is a good vantage point for the 8.45 fireworks.

Traditional Japanese vibe is its highlight

Avaliou em 28 de dezembro de 2018

While travelling alone in Sapporo, I spent one day roaming around part of Lake Toya area. With the intention of staying one night there, I booked this hotel. Not the kind of luxurious one as those nearby, since I considered it not worth to spend twice or more on one night’s short stay. This hotel reached this need of mine in term of room rate. With rate at this level came my low expectation. I arrived before noon, checked in and was led by a staff to a Washitsu (room of Japanese style). Surprise came once I stepped into the room. It was a spacious room and a big table was put in the center, a solo sofa was in the balcony (enclosed though) with sufficient natural light in. Interior decors and furniture arrangement reminded me of those sho-wa period films I watched-real Japanese vibe. This should be highlighted and recommended. And all the rooms are facing Lake Toya. Besides room, the location is also a pro. It’s located in a neighborhood with shops, restaurants and convenience stores, and the Lake Toya bus station is only 5 minutes’ walk. This hotel is not a recently built one, some facilities are outdated like I had to go to the onsen area (Onsen area is traditional with both indoor and outdoor pools) to take a shower since there’s no in-room shower/bathroom facilities. And a kind of strange smell permeated in the whole hotel guess due to it’s not modern any more. I presumed it a popular hotel once when there were no nearby luxurious hotel available before.
