Big rooms, HORRIBLE hotel,

My friends and I stayed here this past carnival. We booked 2 rooms which were definitely overpriced. The only reason we booked here is because there were a mixed up in the hotel we originally booked, so instead of staying with family, we decided to choose this place.
There was no elevator, so we had to log our heavy suitcases up the steps. There were more than 1 person staying in the suites but we only received 1 key. When we asked for a 2nd key, we were told that they cannot give it to us. So every night we went out, we had to leave the 1 key at the front desk just incase someone decides to come back to the hotel first.
To our surprise the rooms were large with extra beds which we did not even use. We only got 2 towels in a room which was booked for 3 ppl. One room had a microwave and the other room did not. When I asked for a microwave, they were surprised that it was missing. I waited until the nest day to get one which was taken from another room.
The TV was missing a remote. I went to the lobby and asked for one. Had to pay $100TT deposit for the remote which was missing the back cover for the batteries. I tried turning on the TV, and the remote did not work I waited 2 days for the correct one.
I cussed out the front desk clerk because I left my key at the front desk. When I came back to the hotel, I asked for the key to get into the room. I was told the cleaning lady was up there and I did not get my key. I went upstairs to the room to find it locked. No one was there. I was so mad at that time since all I wanted was my key to get into the room.
This hotel needs to be renovated and they need to have better amenities.We paid over $2100US for 4 days stay per room, and it was the worst service ever. I won't mind staying here again since the rooms size and extra beds are the only positives I can think about and the location is good, but the negatives outweigh the positives.
I was in the lobby when the guy (who wrote the review above) came with his lawyers about being charged extra for the room. I felt bad for him. I also saw cops there.
The Hotel from Hell

My family and I stood at this dump of a hotel for Carnival 2018. It was an extreme disaster. The hotel is dirty, the closet smelled like mold, the towels they provide us with were dirty and had holes. The toilet didn’t flush. We had to ask for toilet paper.
Upon arrival, after we checked in the staff told us your room is over there, with no clear instructions, we insisted on her taking us to our room and she was upset. She didn’t help us with our luggage or offered any support. When we finally got to our room we could not open the room door. Our driver had to take the key and force it into the door.
The hotel needs to be demolished and rebuild. The place is old, broken down, has ants and it smells, I will never go back there. I did ask for a refund and attempted to leave but they were not welling to refund me my money. There isn’t anything remotely Royal about the Royal Palm Suite Hotel.
When we requested the code for Wifi we were told we had to pay. We made the payment to have Wifi, we were able to get online intermittently. It was by far the worse hotel experience I've ever had.

I stayed here during carnival for its location to savannah and it was the only place with rooms. I paid for the room and left for a party. I returned around 1am and there was a lock on my doorknob(I never seen anything like this).I went tot he front desk and inquired about it and the front desk lady said the price hade increased and I needed to pay an additional $75.I responded you can return my 100 and I will leave or you can let me stay here for the amount we already completed paperwork on. The lady stated that neither was an option and offered that I remove my belongings and escorted away by security. I called the police, police never came, I waited in the lobby for 3 hours, eventually falling asleep. I decided to leave and not miss anymore of the festivities. I went to jouvert in my polo shirt(got paint all over my polo clothes) because I was unable the enter the room and change clothes. the next morning my attorney friend call to check up on me and I explained what happened. I came the hotel and sorted out the craziness..THIS IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION

Sylvio Ogkush : I'm staying here presently and I'm enjoying my stay . Clean hotel , courteous staff . I would recommend this hotel any day and I would surely come . again. I've seen some bad reviews but that was probably before my stay .
Refused to honour booking

I had a prepaid voucher from booking.com but managenebt insisted they had not received payment. I was travelling with 2 young children and arrived at hotel tired and late, they would not give us a room unless I paid full accommodation fee again. When I contacted booking.com they assured me that motel was paid and that the hotel staff confirmed payment. I am still trying to get money back from Royal Palms!
