Stayed here 2 days July 7-9 using points for a 2 day visit to St. Louis. Took the train into St. Louis from the Fairview Heights park and ride about 10 minutes away from the hotel with no problems. Requested and received a 4th floor room which was clean, very comfortable, and quiet. We did not hear anything or anyone all night. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and had plenty of room to sit and enjoy. Cracker Barrel Restaurant a short walk across the parking lot. I would stay here again without a doubt.

Zero knowledge of Service dogs and the laws governing them

My service dog and I enjoyed the room. I forgot to ask for a military discount, and when I asked about it in the morning, the front desk clerk didn’t know if she could because I waited too long, but she didn’t get that information, so I never got the discount. Noise was definitely a factor. I could hear the parents scolding their children in the room next door and below until after 1 am, but I didn’t call to complain, so that’s not the hotel’s fault. Our wonderful stay was ruined when we went down to breakfast and a staff member refused to allow me and my service dog access to the food. She went to get a manager but never returned, so I turned to the front desk clerk. She supported her uninformed colleague. When asked if she knew anything about service dog laws, she said “somebody told me once,but I forgot”. Meanwhile, the entire lobby and dining area were staring at us and making comments. The clerk refused to look up the law, and could not get ahold of a manager. When I called corporate, I was told I would get a call back before I checked out. That was yesterday, they still haven’t contacted me. FYI, my dog’s behavior was not at issue.

Gret Place to stay

I have stayed here several times when visiting St. Louis, a short distance to the Speedway and Busch Stadium, New property very well appointed and quiet right of of I 55. Great breakfast nice clean rooms. The only complaint I had was the Contingency fee that is placed on my credit card, I Called twice after a few days to have it taken off and it still is on my CC. A Platinum Elite Club member should not even have this hold placed on card.

Our room was clean and comfortable with all the typical amenities. There are several nice places for dinner and breakfast is typical for HIE. The staff was very friendly and we had no issues with our stay.

I was happy to reserve a room here based on the high rating on Priceline and the great location off of the interstate. I wasn’t able to on the way out to Kansas but I did on the return trip. As it turned out I’m not sure why the rating was so high. My room with two queen beds was a little tight. The side chair didn’t have any space around it. My room was missing the ottoman with the chair but the room next door that my sisters stayed in had one. The bathroom counter was a little small. The toilet and shower were fine. The area with the fridge, coffee maker, and microwave was nice. The television was programmed to be on Fox News when it was turned on. That was offensive and disturbing and for that reason the next time I travel to Kansas I’ll choose the same hotel that we had stayed in in Collinsville on our way to Kansas instead of this holiday inn express
