Elevator was down and management didn't care at all. My husband has heart condition and had to use the stairs, no help or price adjustment was offered. Terrible experience 👎 stay away from this place !

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Truth or Consequences on the first night of our trip. This was a nice clean hotel with friendly front desk staff. Bed and room were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Loved the cinnamon rolls. I would stay here again.

Good stay… good price… but get it in writing!!

We initially made our reservations over the phone. The gal taking the reservation was very helpful, gave us a good rate ( military) and added notes for the type of room we were requesting. Because we were making the reservation so far out ( 6/7 weeks) she said our confirmation would be emailed “…closer to our arrival date…” which was fine with us… until it never came and I had forgotten all about not having it. We arrived at the hotel early evening and the young gentlemen at the desk ( who was more interested in watching videos on his phone than helping us!!!) informed us that the person who took our reservation “ didn’t work there” ( I had gotten her name wrong; but she DID work there) and told us the military rate was higher than we were quoted. Since it wasn’t that much higher, we said fine for that price, got our room assignment and took our bags up for our two night stay ( he keyed our keys for one night). The room was clean, we had a pretty nice view of the area, and it was very quiet for the whole stay. They offered amenities for things forgotten ( rare these days) and the room had plenty of outlets for all our electronic devices. The pillows came with soft/ hard designations on them ( nice touch!!) and we were given a card for the type of room ( cleaning) service we would want for our stay. The room and all the little amenities it offered provided us a nice place to stay. The last night of our visit, our bill was slid under the door. The military rate changed once again , only now it had gone up $50!! After breakfast ( a very good selection of items and a nice gal working the breakfast area) we went to the front desk to ask about our bill. Blaine was very hospitable but said he was unable to do anything as that was an issue management would need to attend to. So he gave us the managers card and said we should hear from him on Monday ( we did not). We called late Mon night and were told another message would be left for the manager. Tuesday, Jesse ( manager ) called and told us, yet ANOTHER military rate!! Luckily, it was the lowest of all we were quoted and he gave us that rate for both nights. So, in conclusion of reading this book, whatever you do , if you are quoted a rate with this hotel, make sure you get it RIGHT AWAY in writing to avoid all we went through. We appreciated Jesse giving us the rate he did and for him keeping the word of an employee about a given rate. It’s a nice hotel… a good place to stay… and I would recommend staying there.

Passing through to Arizona. Room was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and staff friendly. Area was quiet despite being off interstate. Only issue was the parking lot, not obvious how to actually get out as the entrance was one way. Otherwise fab

Poor staff quality

Arrived at 3:15 pm to check in. Waited 25 minutes for a human to show up to check in. A sign was posted to use entryway phone for help. Needless to say, I called over and over, and no one showed up. I walked the main floor looking for staff and found no one. He finally showed and apology. Our room was lacking shampoo/conditioner. Pop machine didn't work. Plus......comfortable bed, good hot breakfast.
