Very good Value for money
Avaliou em 7 de outubro de 2017
Room is spacious and estreme clean. Staff is very professional, kind and speaks a good english. They have a shuttle bus to and from Tsukuba station (booking is needed). Breakfast is not expensive, although the choice of food can be improved, especially when it comes to the so called "continental breakfast". I recommend this place for a business traveler.

Small but sufficient
Avaliou em 26 de março de 2015
Emailed the hotel to request a pick up from Tsukuba Centre (bus station) after taking the 'limousine bus' from Narita Airport. A member of staff was waiting for me at the bus station and was very helpful. The staff understood enough English to meet all of my needs (though some use of google images was required for a non-feather pillow). Rooms are small but clean, bathrooms include a separate wet room with a bath and shower and a drying line for clothes. As well as this there is a small space for hanging clothes, a kettle, fridge, and TV. Breakfast was a mix of Japanese food, and 'European' breakfast including scrambled eggs and cereal. A team of massage chairs in the lobby are quite an interesting way to wait for a bus etc. Perfect for KEK users/visitors (around 15 minutes walk).

Wheelchair accessible room
Avaliou em 15 de maio de 2013
I am a c4/5 incomplete quadraplegic and My partner and I went to Japan on the 4 April for 3 week, the barrier free room ( wheelchair accessible room) was terrible. I am a quadriplegic and my electric wheelchair just fit in the lift with enough room for myself, once in the room I could move back and forward in a 4meter space, could not get beside the beds to transfer in and the beds weren't comfortable at all not good if you can't move around by yourself. The toilet and shower were separate from each other, the toilet being down like a long thing hall way type which made it very difficult to use. The shower was a small space which proved very difficult to use as there was very little room to move around. The room is very small with little storage space for bags and equipment. The I house resturant was very difficult to figure out as all the menus were all in Japanese and no staff could translate what they had to offer. This hotel is very traditional in the Japanese culture We needed to be close to Tsukuba university which we were told the hotel was 3 km away which turned out to be around 12 km away which proved difficult as there was not much public transport from the hotel to Tsukuba Uni.

Clean and to the point
Avaliou em 26 de maio de 2008
I was in town for a relative's wedding, and my uncle recommended this hotel. While there's nothing really fancy, everything was clean and to the point. The lobby is nicely sized so nothing feels too cramped. I stayed in a twin room, and the room was nice and not as small as some typical Japanese hotel rooms would be. Plus, there was no smell of smoke, which is how it should have been considering we were in a nonsmoking room (unlike some other hotels as we had discovered two nights before). Amenities typical of Japanese hotels like yukatas and free slippers are also provided. There's a convenience store next door, and a larger store within a block or two of the hotel. Breakfast was included with our room and both the western and Japanese style meals were good. They offered a free shuttle service in the mornings to the Tsukuba Express station that run every hour (or 30 minutes, I don't remember since I didn't take it myself). Also, they have free internet in the rooms, but its a LAN and not wifi. Fortunately they also lend out ethernet cables at the front desk. The only complaint I would have is that besides the two stores, there isn't too much nearby the hotel. If you have transportation and want to stay somewhere that does the basics really well, I would recommend this place. Otherwise, if you're looking for somewhere that has more things to do in the area immediately surrounding the hotel, I would suggest you check out other places.
