DO NOT BOOK – HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY STOLE MONEY FROM ME

Avaliou em 23 de março de 2023

HORRID customer service who will over charge you. They stole money from me by overcharging my reservation several hundred dollars and then also pressuring me into tipping the front desk 10% of the total reservation cost upon check out, on top of the overcharge amount. I have my initial reservation confirmation that says what price I agreed to, and they don't seem to care, they still charged me hundreds more and won't refund it. It's now been nearly two months and after 50 emails back and forth it's become apparent they are thieves and will not send me my refund for the overcharge fee of several hundred dollars. They keep coming up with excuses as to why they can't do it even though I have given them my mailing address to send a check, my Paypal, my Venmo, and they also have two of my credit cards on file from my booking which they could refund. They have FIVE methods of issuing a refund and still refuse to. It's been a nightmare situation since check out day. Unforutnate because this is a beautiful hotel, but do you want to be overcharged and ripped off financially and then left to deal with it for months after? Better to book elsewhere. Really disappointing experience here.

Hotel Muaré is beautiful! A relaxing environment but also stunning and the food was delicious! Breakfast was amazing! You got SO much food. The staff are all so lovely. The people in the restaurant, the people helping with your luggage and opening your door to the taxis were all so nice and helpful!! The reception staff are all so nice and friendly. A special mention to Benjamin who couldn’t have been any nicer/welcoming/happy! Thank you!!!!

Cool Boutique Tulum Jungle Hotel

Avaliou em 21 de março de 2023

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Muare, exploring the area with this as our base in Tulum. The room was great and large enough for a long stay, we even got used to the outdoor showers! The aesthetic is cool with boho vibe and we enjoyed the music. The staff where attentive, in Particular the front desk/concierge, Benjamin was a pleasure to deal with, as was Augusto, both very helpful arranging travel, tours and giving us good local/inside knowledge.

Great Hotel, Horrible Staff

Avaliou em 28 de fevereiro de 2023

This hotel was beautiful! The location was great for us as we had a rental. The rooms are nice and we had villa 23 which had a working and nice plunge pool. The main pool is NOT heated, so we didn’t use it and did not see many people use it. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was always really good! We did dinner there our first night and it was just okay, but the service from Nicholas was awesome! Now for the bad… On the first day we got there there was water in a nice jar waiting for us. We were told it was filtered and would be replaced daily. Well upon taking the cork off of the jug we noticed the top of the water and cork had mold on/in it. I sent a picture to the WhatsApp number and never got a response. However they did send us bottled water from that point forward (which we never drank). The front desk staff, mainly Mili, are disgustingly RUDE. Someone in our party was trying to ask her a question and she literally turned around like she was being bothered and said “WHAT?!”. At first o thought she was just being rude to us, but over the few days we were there I noticed that this is how she treats everyone. I am baffled as to why someone would hire her to be in customer service. For what this hotel is trying to be, they need to scrap the entire front desk staff and try again! Checkout was another fiasco. The did not allow us to do a walkthrough with them, but came back with a slew of charges. For my room in particular I was told we would need to pay extra because of makeup on the pillow. When I told them I didn’t wear makeup only eyeliner they said yes there is an eyeliner mark on the pillow. I asked to see a picture and was shown a picture of a white pillow with no mark. I took a picture of their picture and let them know I’d be including it in my review and mysteriously they were able to remove the charge. However, I should not have had to deal with that at all! I’ve stayed all over the world and that is the first time a hotel tried to charge me for an eyeliner mark on the pillow. Overall, this is an amazing location and hotel in desperate need of new staff. (The restaurant staff not included)
