Awesome Stay!

Check in was a breeze. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. Bed was so comfortable! Pool area and pool both were very clean. No microwave in the room but there is one in their snack store for use. Breakfast was good too. Will stay again if back in the area.

Horrible! Front desk girl was horribly rude. She told me I was way too much trouble. The rooms were sparse, dingy, filthy, and I did not want to stay there immediately after checking in. When I called to tell them that they were just horrible. I am 63 years old and this was a vacation by myself and it was quite traumatizing. My TV didn’t work the cable was out in my room and the automatic door to the hotel did not work and the ice machines did not work. Cannot even be called a hotel? It really was horrendous.

Wow, where do i even start?.. DISAPPOINTED would be an understatement. We booked the King Cotton Suite for one night at $349 before taxes. Website advertises “Pet Friendly” and mentions no additional fee when you book the room like most other hotel websites do, but they wait until you arrive to inform you of it. A little annoying but no big deal. The room was decorated nicely but there were stains all over the carpet. Trash left in drawers and on floor from previous guests. The TV was smaller than one you’d see in a Motel 6, and only about 10 channels would pick up on cable. The Wi-Fi was terrible and not useable. Then to top it all off, it started raining about 2 hours before check out on the day we leave and the CEILING STARTED LEAKING RIGHT ABOVE THE BED. This whole experience would be disappointing in any hotel or motel, but to pay $500+ after all fees & taxes and get this experience is so frustrating. Don’t let the unique old-timey theme of the place fool you and definitely don’t waste your money on the King Cotton Suite!!

I will never go back to this hotel unless they have a change of heart. I am so mad about how they treated my grandparents. This hotel does not care about their seniors or really any one with any kind of disability. After calling the front desk at 6:30PM to let them know my grandparents TV was not working and them telling me they would send a guy up ASAP - I decided to go down there after 45 minutes of WAITING. As I went downstairs I could hear the same lady I spoke to 45 minutes ago SCREAMING down the phone and then was promptly told by another lady standing there that my grandfather had called down and he was upset. I asked them why they were SCREAMING and being rude to my grandfather and this lady told me "Well he's upset with us" Excuse me! This is how your front desk treats paying guests? I immediately told her, "well he's been up there for hours without a working tv and I personally called down here at 6:40 and y'all told me that you would send someone up ASAP, It's now 7:30 and no one BOTHERED to 1) come up or 2) call back or even WALK UP THERE to let us know no one is coming up" We have been waiting and waiting and nothing! I am so thankful that lady told me that they were talking to my grandfather that way. It was so disgusting and I wish now I had recorded the shouting. I left them and went back to my grandparents room and the reason he got upset is because they told him to just walk downstairs and watch tv in the lobby and not deal with the one in his room. My grandparents are in their 80s. My grandmother uses a walker and they can not get around easily. Nor, are they tech-savy. They do not own any laptops, computers, ipads, etc. They had been in their room for a couple hours without a tv working which if we're paying for room with a TV it should work! I can see why he was upset. To tell an elderly couple to walk down stairs and stay in the lobby for what? 2 - 4 hours and use the lobby tv and not the one in the comfort of their own room!? ONTOP of all this they made a big renovation to the hotel. The flooring in the rooms are very slick tile. There is a bench and a rolling desk chair only. My grandfather ended up hitting the back of his head on the corner of the desk after the desk chair rolled out from under him. This also happened to me and nearly to other relatives of mine. There is no rug in the room to put under the desk chair. Myself, and, my great-aunt brought this up to the day time manager at check out the following sunday and all agreed this is a LIABILITY RISK! We also brought up the night-team of women and how sickening they treated my grandparents. Nothing was offered to fix that. DO NOT come to this hotel if you are over the age of 40. They do not care about you or if you get hurt on their premises.

We stayed at the Coldwater Inn for five nights Perfect place to stay for Music lovers the rooms Are spacious the entrance looks very grand with the double staircase. We stayed in 5 Hotels on our Music Tour and this was by far the best. The staff are very helpful nothing was too much trouble. The pool was cleaned everyday. If you are looking for a place to stay in the muscle shoals area give the Coldwater Inn A try
