Excellent customer service and cleanliness.
Have stayed at this property twice during the COVID pandemic while going to the Cleveland Clinic. We found the rooms and hotel grounds to very clean and felt comfortable staying there. Excellent COVID procedures were in place during our visits. Caitlin at the front desk(I hope I spelled her name correctly) provided exceptional customer service both times and was extremely understanding. Will be returning in a few months for my follow-up visit.
Comfortable Rooms with a Rude Gary
I stayed at this hotel November 11, 2020. When I checked in the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable. There is a Keurig coffee maker already in the room (you don’t have to request it like at most hotels, thank you Covid) and the rooms have a refrigerator, comfortable beds, and (most importantly for me) programmable air systems that allow for soothing white noise all night. My only frustration was Gary, the night desk manager. I called down about 11 PM to request a wake up call. I had forgotten the charging cord for my phone and was worried that my alarm would not wake me up. He answered the phone rudely and I requested a wake up call for the next morning. He yelled at me fine, done, bye and hung up the phone. Incredibly short and rude. I would’ve given this place a five rating but I’ve got to give it a three because he was such a jerk. Employees matter. They can make or break an experience. I do recommend this hotel but I definitely do NOT recommend Gary for human interaction.
Nice Property...but not Covid ready
Stayed for a night this weekend. Room was clean + beautiful, + the breakfast the next morning (a reasonable $10.95 per person I believe, but free for us as Diamond members) was very good even though it was different from pre-Covid previous "grab your own items from the various baskets on the counters + also order your own eggs or omelet". It's now order most of the previous stuff from the waiter/waitress and its brought to you. The negative IMO is that, surprisingly, as a Hilton facility they didn't seem very well prepped for Covid19. We walked in with both of us wearing masks, and their were plastic shields mostly covering the front desk area, separating us from the clerks. But both clerks, and the manager that stepped out of his office weren't wearing masks or shields. And neither the inside of the elevator or the areas outside of them had any kind of signs saying "1 person or 1 family per elevator" or anything similar; no signs. As only about 10% of the guests were wearing masks in public areas, we ended up having to stop one of the mask-less guests from walking into our occupied-by-us elevator by asking him to wait for the next one instead of joining us. Waiters / waitresses did have masks on for the breakfast though. Oh, and I don't think we were being too picky, but in our reservation we'd requested a room that had been empty for at least 3 days, + cleaned several days before our arrival (we're older so...Covid safety). That didn't seem to be noticed by the clerk, so I mentioned it, and they then randomly sorted through rooms to find one that had been empty for a bit. Floor was marked for social distancing, but only near the front desk in a few spots and not by the elevators.
