Ubud Villas unsurpassed for experience and value for money....not to be missed!

Having been in the management of four and five-star hotels throughout Australia and overseas spanning a career of more than 30 years, I am rarely moved to post a review of an accommodation experience, but justice would not be served if this remained the case during my current stay at B.Saya Villas in Ubud, Bali. This property I quite literally stumbled upon having made no advanced booking prior to my arrival, and having no prior knowledge of, or association with the property to which I herein review. Located just 1 km from the center of Ubud's Royal Palace, this complex of unpretentious but immaculately maintained villas with restaurant, pool, business center and yoga retreat are surrounded by traditional Balinese rice fields that supply this staple food not only to the hotel itself, but also to the local community in which it stands. The villas are well appointed and furnished with all the comforts one would expect, and offer a range of villas for solo travelers, couples and small-medium groups with breakfast included each day served in the stylish restaurant, by the pool, or delivered to the door of your villa. All guests are then able to participate in yoga classes offered throughout the morning, enroll in traditional Balinese cooking classes offered on-site, relax by the pool, or take advantage of free transport to the center of Ubud to enjoy the local cultural experiences in and around the Palace, Monkey Forest and surrounding jungle. The staff at B.Saya Villas are accommodating far beyond what one would expect and deserve merit for the way they represent their community and the facility in which they work each day. In particular two warrant special mention for the way in which they nurture their peers. Mega who manages the Lobby, Reception and Restaurant is a young lady who no doubt has an outstanding career ahead of her in Tourism and Hospitality anywhere in the World and I would be surprised if she is not offered such a career in any large International Hotel of her choosing. Nyomen, affectionately known as "Head Butler" by his junior staff is also a superlative host who ensures his guests expectations are met on a daily basis. In terms of value for money one cannot look any further than B.Saya Villas and as testament to this my original reservation of just two nights was increased to two weeks, and then to a month-long uninterupted stay in this outstanding accommodation facility that provides an experience unsurpassed by any other much more expensive hotel in Ubud. Delightful location to enjoy Ubud!

The hotel is very well located, close to the center of Ubud that you can reach using their free shuttle. The hotel garden is very beautiful and peaceful, with the swimming pool at the center, opening right on the rice fields. It's a zen oasis in the vibrant Ubud. The staff is very welcoming, considerate and helpful, always with a smile. They can arrange tours for you on demand (we did the Batur sunrise trek). The food is fresh and good, the breakfast fruity and delicious. The villas are spacious and well furnished. Only the bathrooms are a bit too simple. We spent a wonderful stay there, feeling like at home!

Very accommodating staff and clean comfortable room near the city center, but outside far enough to be peaceful and relaxing in the rice fields. Would recommend for any couple traveling on a budget. Complimentary breakfast was prepared fresh and delicious every day too.

This is an amazing place, the views from the pool are amazing and the people are very nice , warm and friendly. Confortable, spacious rooms that were very clean and well decorated It was the perfect place to stay, I will definitely come back!!!!

We got jepun 2villa excellent room service Breakfast is very good Overall staff experience is wonderful. Location is excellent just 1.6 km walking to Ubud centre & palace. We as Muslim tourists got halal food hebbar burgers in Ubud centre & local Indonesia halal food at Ubud centre all at walking distance. Campuhan ridge walk just 2 km walking Beautiful rice fields scenery from villas We definitely enjoyed our stay at B. Saya
