Best Staff!

This was our first time in this area. We came mainly for skiing. The hotel is great, very modern, the rooms are great big, with wonderful views, great balcony I can't say enough. The best thing though, is the service 5 stars, from the reception, to the housekeeping staff ( who took the time to make a little house for my son's stuffed animal!), to the amazing spa professionals. I had a massage with Martina, who was very knowledgable amazing, and I ended with a facial from Barbara, I have facials constantly, I can say this was one of the beat facials I have ever had. I would recommend having any of their spa services. The restaurant staff and meals were amazing as well! We will definitely come back again! I recommend this hotel to anyone adults or with families! Thank you all for an amazing few days!

Good but could be better

Sportresidenz Zillertal is a beautiful contemporary hotel in the middle of the Ziller valley about forty minutes from Innsbruck. The coldness of the contemporary rectangular architecture is softened to a cozy ambience by the generous use of wood throughout the interior. Our room had a massive terrace overlooking the golf course with the mountains just beyond. The furnishings were comfortable and the room was extremely well equipped including a dry sauna, large walk in shower with a mountain view and an Illy espresso machine. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel participates in a BMW demonstration program so we were able to borrow the M4 roadster for a tour of the valley. Unfortunately for me the weather deteriorated and so I was unable to try out what appeared to be a beautiful golf course. There were, however, two negative points. The hotel has a variety of spa facilities including a beautiful +32C outdoor pool with great views but no indoor pool. For me, especially considering the climate, this is a serious issue. The second is the quality of the kitchen, which is not up to either the quality of the rest of the property or the generally high standard of similar Austrian resorts that I’ve visited. If these two points are not particularly important it is a fantastic place for a holiday. If they are important to you, do stay at the hotel when the weather will allow you to enjoy the pool and perhaps the dining will improve with time.

Wonderful

Shame we were only here for one night. So we were unable to try the many treatments on offer, or even the rooftop pool. Everything was truly amazing. Huge room, which even included a sauna. Large balcony with views across the golf course and beyond. Excellent food both at dinner and breakfast. plenty of parking both outside and under cover.

Exceptional care

So I have finally got round to writing about the exceptional service we received during our skiing trip in January 2018 specifically after I had an accident. On our last day I fell and had to be airlifted to hospital leaving my poor wife on her own with my skis and poles and no phone having to get back to the hotel. She managed that with the help of the staff at the ski shop at the lift who called the shuttle bus for her. When she got back to the hotel and explained the situation, Daniel, the General Manager, (who is a very funny guy) immediately offered to drive her to the hospital which was about 45 mins from the hotel. It was late afternoon and so it was approaching a busy time for the hotel. Nonetheless he took her straight there and helped her find where I was in the hospital. When they came into the room I was in, Daniel looked genuinely concerned (much more so than my wife anyway !). There were a few other complications that he was brilliant at sorting out. We were very grateful to him and all the hotel staff for their help and warm friendliness. You can read about the high standard of the hotel and the excellence of the food and facilities elsewhere but I thought this would show the wonderful level of service that you can expect
