We loved our stay at Vathi hotel! The rooms were spotless clean and it seemed that the staff paid very close attention to details as well as COVID regulations. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but loved it so much that extended our stay! The staff are all super helpful and always with a smile on their face - eager to help. The hotel is situated a small walk from the beach which has a family run watersports school, perfect to add some activity to your holidays! Definitely a must visit!!

Very good and clean hotel. Gongratulations to the manager and the employees of the housekeeping for their work. Also the employees of the reception where very helpful. Only negative the same materials in the breakfast. Thank you for our stay.

Great family getaway in Mani

Clean rooms, reasonable prices, pool for the kids, great view, breathe taking sunset. Nice breakfast .The nearby beach (about 5 minutes walk) is wonderful,The service was more than polite. The housekeeping is excellent as you are provided with neatly folded towels placed on the beds as well as room cleaning service.

Situated a few kilometers southwest of the port city of Gytheio you will find this multi-complex of three storey towers that contain 3 units each. Note that if you are on the second or third floors expect to take a flight of stairs up to your apartment as there are no elevators available. Our unit consisted of a full size kitchen and sitting area as well as a bedroom. The apartments are fully furnished. There is a restaurant on the premises as well. The pebble beach is a 2min walk away but Mavrovouni beach (12 min drive) is your best option if you are looking for a larger, sandy beach. I would recommend you enter the Mavrovouni beach at ‘Entrance Gamma’ (third entrance of the main road that leads to/from Gytheio). Make sure you sit at the beach chairs across from the Demestoixa (They-may-stee-ha) restaurant. Across the street from Vathi hotel is a mini-market with all the amenities and cheap bottled water but it is not open throughout the day at all hours. CONS: We were disappointed to find out that there are no phones in the rooms and the wi-fi is extremely weak and intermittent. This was very frustrating as the hotel advertises wi-fi. Perhaps they should be mentioning that wi-fi is only available in the lobby like other hotels do. Even our data plan was ‘hit and miss’ at times leaving us with no connection at all. PROS: The housekeeping is excellent as you are provided with neatly folded towels placed on the beds as well as room cleaning service. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The fixtures are also new. Water pressure in the shower was adequate too. There is a foldable clothes drying rack available at the rear balcony which made drying clothes a breeze. A beautiful view of the Laconian gulf outweighs the fact that there are several steps leading to the upper level units. During our stay, the majority of the guests were families with young children; not bothersome as we have children of our own that stayed with us.

Great family getaway in Mani

The Vathi Hotel complex consists of the hotel per se, and two adjacent groups of Mani-type "towers" (Aris Studios and Eu Zen) all of which share the same infrastructure (restaurant, swimming pool). My family and I stayed at am Eu Zen "mini-tower" which I found very charming and comfortable with a great sea view to boot. The service was more than polite. The food was not typical hotel-food and distinctly home-flavored. The pool deck is a great chilling spot. The nearby beach (about 5 minutes walk) is wonderful, about 2.4 kms long. It is interesting to visit the northern part of the beach, but very carefully because turtles nest there (fortunately the nests are protected by small bamboo fences set up by environmentalists). The only prettiest beach in Mani is at Marmari IMHO. There is little if anything to complain about Vathi Hotel!
