The worst staff ever.....

Booked thru priceline. Ordered a handicapped room and priceline stated that the motel was good with pets. I am handicapped and my wife hurt her back loading luggage in the morning and so I thought that we would arrive at the motel about 1 pm and maybe our room would be ready. Office was locked shut and I was informed by a maid that nobody was there to help with checking in. Left and came back about 1/2 hour later and still office was shut. Left again and now it was about 2 pm and someone was in the office. I was told that checkin was 3 pm and that the room wasn't ready, maybe it might be ready in 1/2 hour. Left again, went to nearby park. Came back 1/2 hour later and was told come back in 10 minutes. After 10 minutes my wife went back and was told that because we had a pet that we couldn't stay in a handicapped room. My wife tried to explain that we booked a handicapped room thru priceline and that we had booked because it was stated that quality inn was ok with pets. I feel that this was a bold face lie, show me in writing that a non handicapped person without a pet can book a handicapped room, but a legally handicapped person with a pet cannot. My wife came back with a receipt stating that we booked a regular room and as I was trying to make sense of what was happining the same employee came to my car and took the receipt from my hand stating that the receipt belonged to her.. This experience was a nightmare and I feel that we made someone mad by arriving early, and that to deny a handicapped person a handicapped room because he has a.pet in a pet friendly hotel is blatant discrimination.
Sleep in your car instead.

You will regret settling for this hotel. Broken glass, roaches, and a leaky faucet are just some of the lovely things you will enjoy at this hotel. Thankfully, these fun things will distract you from the initial disappointment from the 15 minute wait to get checked in as the first person in line, as well the 86 degree heat inside of the room because of the ac that was turned off in the middle of the summer. All of this of course pairs well with the intense humidity which will leave you feeling wonderful for the rest of your very short stay. You won’t have to worry about exploring the rest of the hotel as no one was brave enough to enter the pool in its horrendous state and the lobby is pretty much never open. Instead you’ll be using a thin slot to talk to hotel staff. You may have a hard time communicating to your front desk manager as the window you’ll be speaking through requires any papers that need to be signed to be folded 3 times.
I’ve already read the awful reviews on the breakfast, and due to the condition of the room I will not be partaking in that surly amazing meal. Realistically, I would price this visit at $30.

We stayed the night here on our way to Destin and the hotel was pretty clean it wasn’t the greatest but we made it. The check in process was horrible we stood there 30 minutes waiting to check in while they talked amongst each other. The lobby area smelled like sewage. Went to check out and stood there 15 minutes before they acknowledged me.

You would think we were in the height of the pandemic with their check in. WalMart does not require masks anymore, but Quality Inn will make sure that everyone is miserable when they get done with you. First off, check in does not begin until 3 pm and they do not open the window until that time. Then you have to stand in line outside, no drive through, in the sweltering heat with biting gnats, waiting to check in. There is a tiny little opening for sliding your credit card through. The clerk is talking, but can’t be understood because the intercom either does not work or they don’t have one. So she is yelling at me, I am yelling my phone # back at her, for everyone to hear, that for some reason has to be verified. I was ready to leave and will never come back here again.

I have been a senior citizen member of Choice Hotels for many years. I booked my room at this motel with my member number and at a senior rate. When I arrived, I learned that my first floor room had been mistakenly given away. I was assigned a 2nd floor room. This is a motel with exterior doors, no elevator. I expressed the concern about the fact that I am 83 years old and use a cane to ambulate. No offer of help from the young staff in the office. So, my 70 year old wife and I staggered up the steep staircase with our bags. Room was so so until we found that we had no running water in our bathroom sink. All hand washing and tooth brushing had to be done at the tub or with water in a class from the tub. Total unconcern from staff who I think were also the owners. We will never stay at this place again.
