I hesitated to write this review because I never want to count a business out because everyone has bad days but the lack of communication and empathy I faced from this business is mind blowing. I contacted Hilton Garden Inn on Thursday, March 23rd and literally talked to 3 different people made a report with Guest Relations finally and I still have not had anyone contact me about the incident. We stayed at the hotel last Sunday. After checking out we realized we left a pair of Men Nike shoes in the hotel. I called about 2-3 hours after checking out and spoke to the desk clerk her name was Martha. She put me on hold and checked with housekeeping to see if my shoes were in the room. They were. I told her great and I would be back this week to pick up the shoes. She said that would be good. We drove o Victoria the following day to pick up the shoes only to be told they were locked up in housekeeping room and they were gone for the day..Ok fine we should of called before hand no big deal. Thursday my boyfriend called to let them know he would be coming to Victoria to get the shoes and now all of a sudden they didn't have them and never told "me they had them" HUGE LIE!!! I spoke with Martha she was the one I spoke with on Sunday and she told me she never told me she had them well lets just say after I called her a liar she stated it must of been a miscommunication. I am sooo disappointed in this hotel. As nice of a hotel this is the lack of communication and management this hotel has is really sad.

Clean hotel

Stayed one night and had a pretty good stay. The staff was really friendly and the room was clean. I loved the shower! The bed, however, was not comfortable and made a lot of noise when rolling over. So much so that it woke me up every time. The breakfast is a joke. You have to pay for the same kind of breakfast that other hotels offer for free! I had a waffle with 2 slices of bacon and some apple juice, and it was $12! I don't mind paying for breakfast, but it needs to be a bit nicer than your typical free hotel breakfast. Overall it was a good stay but because of the breakfast I wouldn't stay here again.

Pools are OUT OF SERVICE

ALL pools are out of service. Front desk will NOT warn you when booking. No attempt was made to compensate us for loss of amenities. We were told that management would simply apologize, so not to bother talking to them.

Leave it to Hilton to get it right! Arrived late evening to the warmest and most professional greeting ever. Megan checked me in and was really impressive. She welcomed my family and I, acknowledged our status and explained everything about the property. I've stayed at the property in the past and have never been disappointed, but the star of this stay was Megan's greeting and overall demeanor. Very courteous and professional. Thank you so much Megan!

We took a 3-hour trip to a small town in Victoria and stayed at the Hilton garden inn.. it was our one year anniversary and I could not ask for anything more a clean room nice staff a lovely place to stay..
