I had a week long business trip in Victoria Tx, I had just come from staying at the George West Holiday Express and the ladies at the front desk were awesome so I booked my 5 day stay in Victoria. As soon as I hung up the phone I realized that I had booked the wrong dates and immediately phoned back and changed the dates, the lady I dealt with on the phone couldn't have been any nicer, she said no problem and canceled the original dates and booked the correct dates. Now, when I went to check in at the Victoria Holiday Inn, I was told that they didn't have any reservation for me until the following week, which was the original booking, the lady that I dealt with was very rude and didn't make any effort to accommodate me, she didn't say she was sorry and truly acted as though she could care less. After I had checked in at the Hilton next door I went back to the Holiday Inn to make sure that they had canceled any reservations that I might have with them, I dealt with a different lady who if anything was more rude than the first one, I can assure you that I will never book another room with these folks

4 days on the road from the East Coast and this was such a relief and pleasure. The hotel is so nice and clean, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. Only issues we had were no Kleenex in the room, desk chair "sank" to lowest setting no matter how you set it up and the curtains would not full close so lots of light came in at night. Breakfast was the best we've had on this trip. Beds, sheets, pillows - all wonderful. I'd stay here a night or a week anytime!

We were on a 1 week trip to some of the southern states & chose this Town as one of them. However Victoria could have been better. Not too muck to see & do. The hotel was very nice with all the amenities of a Holiday Inn Express. Very clean , nice Pool & Jacuzzi. The only thing not so good was the Breakfast. Nothing Hot. However it did offer a kind of "Egg Mc-Muffin" that you could heat in a microwave oven. A good selection of pastries, yogurts, & juices. Our room was nice & large with 2 Queen size beds & a large LED TV.

Great newer HIE, clean fresh and comfortable. Checkin was fast, room was nice and spacious. Pool area was nice and relaxing. Breakfast was grab and go but that's temporary I'm sure. Large bathrooms, plenty of parking and easy access to restaurants and shopping. Price was good for HIE.

It's big, spacious, brightly lit, and better than your average Holiday Inn property. Comfy and artfully decorated rooms, luscious beds, ample and pretty good breakfasts. Great showers. You can tell you're in conservative Texas, because the TVs have just 50 or so channels, including two Fox outlets and no MSNBC. Doubt it's a coincidence. Might be a factor, one way or the other, depending on your political leanings. The hotel is close to a freeway but 10-15 minutes from downtown. There's a Hilton property, a Hilton Garden Inn, right next door, if you want to comparison shop. We use both, depending on price and whether we want breakfast fixed for us or not. Again, if you use Holiday inn properties, this one is just fine.
